Coach, great simple video! Question: What’s your philosophy on getting beat off the dribble? Player one pass away has to step up to stop ball and help side guys rotates to his man or player that is one pass away stunts and stays home and the help side in the back hadsto stop ball. I understand this could be based on personnel, but if you had a general rule what would it be? Any other thoughts on this matter would be appreciated as well.
I prefer to have the help side step in. That leaves more rotation and communication required but, in theory, won't leave the closest player open as stunting does. I have found stunting can lead to others thinking it's not their job to stop the ball. Either way, lots of coaching, repetition and communication is needed.
