I got my period when I was in class 4 (I was 9 at that time), when I used to literally go around in underwears. I used to be so scared of periods until I got to know that my friends too got the period but that was not until class 6. After that I used too feel so proud of myself that I got matured so fast until I got to know fully about period in class 8 and that it was pretty normal. ~ So, yeah it's my story.

And he was like" Go to mom and ask her to assist you while i get some pads and chocolate" Yup super chill guy and to this date... when i am an adult now , we still are super cool about this. My period story-: I was in class 7. I got my periods at night and it was dinner time. I saw the stains and decided to tell my mother after dinner. But later I forgot to tell her. The next morning I went to school and then I remembered I got my first period. I told my friends but they didn't believe me. I was very shy to tell this to my teacher. I went home but I was way too shy to tell to my mother as well. It was the fourth day and I was at school. My friends at last believe me and was telling me to go and tell this to our teacher. And I did the same! My teacher called my mother and she picked me up from school. My teacher was giving me good wishes and I don't know why. The boys of our class were all curious and was asking what happened to her. And I was like Oh god! What happened to me?! Thanks for reading 😇

I had my first period when I was in grade 3 ( I was 8 yrs old ) so, I can pretty much relate to it, ( I am 11 yrs rn ) back then it was not that painful but now the painful part has began, I remember in grade 5 ( 2020 ) I got my periods on weekday which meant I had school but I had to take a leave from school because I literally fainted and vomited. It was the most painful day of my life and I can’t forget it. Even now, when I had my period this month ( it ended now ) I literally fainted, and my stomach was paining and I felt like someone is stabbing me with a knife 🔪

So yeah it was painful and I had to to an ultrasound and then they found out my body grew up so fast that it was like 13 yrs old something like that.

I know that India doesn't have the awareness about sex education and Puberty here. And in rural areas people stop their girl education or not let her attend school until her Periods are over. And she's treated as untouchable in the village. We need to make awareness about the changes in the body and parents and teachers should be the one and only to be responsible if their student/child feel strange and weird about their body. Cause last year in my school they skipped the lesson about the Puberty and they said that chapter is useless and just nothing like common what happens if your child is teen and have no knowledge about puberty and feels scared you should have make him comfort and tell him/her about how to survive the situation. Sorry for the all the girls and boys who are unable to get knowledge about puberty and even I have hit the puberty now so if your parents and teachers don't give importance about your body I prefer you to get to know about this in Internet they teach you more better than them. :) Hope you have a good day
Exactly opposite happened to me when I was in 6th standard. A girl ( cousin) asked me about what are sanitary napkins and for what purpose they are used . I was quite embarrassed to tell her because I knew about periods 😅. So , changed the by saying " hmm... You will know soon! " . Now I think instead of being shy , I should have explained it to her but I was quite immature.
True me too, If the guys have to go through periods in real then their reaction and suffering will be the same as girls. So this proves that Both genders are equally strong. And girls are not weaker than men. Because pain tolerance is irrespective of the gender and depends on person to person. But Only women have to go through this problem. Since it is given by nature, we can't fight nature, but the best thing which we can do is to support a girl in her periods and don't make it a taboo. I am so glad that I had my first periods in almost end of class 8 so I already had rough idea of what it is. But just for fun I acted clueless in front of my mother and told her about it. To this she responded that you keep eating so much junk food. Look what has happened, how will I face society. I knew she was joking but if I didn't about this beforehand I would have believed in her. A kind advice to all parents please don't make such jokes with your kids. But there's something wrong the gyno says whenever a women bleeds too less or too more than the average). is it true every girl will need to be warm after getting their first periods because my sister was treated bad 1. she was need to take really very hot bath. 2. stay always covered in blanket, wear socks. 3. need to eat chicken a lot, non salted stuff and even miserable black gram. 4. not to drink water a lot each day only one glass. 5. some times i seen her crying because of all these procedures. those time i really felt i was so lucky to be born as a boy.
You can drink as much water you want to drink to relieve your thirst, just dont drink too hot or cold cause its not even normally good to do that, normal mid temperature water is good and she should do what her body feels comfortable with, no one should tell her to always wear socks and be covered in blankets cause that's pure bs, if she is experiencing cramps then being warm is alright if she isnt feeling that cold then just a heating pad on stomach is amazing, a warm bath usually feels Great normally aswell and it does help in cramps sometimes but not very hot, we arent boiling vegetables-
Why to stay always covered in blanket and why to wear socks and why to drink only one glass of water,my mom never told me to do this things (you can check on goggle it's written their to drink 9-10 glasses of water in period days) and please support your sister because her life is very important well I want to tell that god had make every women strong and who told her to drink very less water in period days and wear socks and cover your body in blanket,see you can drink water as much as you can but it should be normal not to hot not to cold I hope you understand this
Actually lack of water may lead to dehydration & some heat problems in her body. Drinking lots of water not only these days but every other normal day is important. If one's water in-take level is good, that person is most likely to be active. Imo some of the methods your sister had to follow were completely unnecessary (and some are even harmful)
I remember when in 7th grade all my girl gang started to bleed for their first time turn by turn but I didn't. Yes all my 3 friends that too within 6 months of first one menstruating. So the only conversation would be about the experience of how it felt and I was soo left out that I desperately waited for mine to arrive. I would pray to god but I still didn't so this made me feel that I would never bear a child, I'll be less of a woman and no one would ever marry me. So you can imagine the horror that was inside my tiny brain. 2 years forward in grade 9th I finally did and I was kinda happy 😂😂
When I got my first period I was in 6th std and dressed in my P.E uniform which consisted of a white skirt with shorts and I remember my friends telling me that I had a huge red patch on the back of my skirt. I will never forget the way they shielded me and helped me into a bathroom after which they went to the nurse's office to bring me a sanitary napkin and a spare skirt. I will never forget their kindness, it's true that we girls will always have each other's backs in such matters for sure!

My period story-:
I was in class 7. I got my periods at night and it was dinner time. I saw the stains and decided to tell my mother after dinner. But later I forgot to tell her. The next morning I went to school and then I remembered I got my first period. I told my friends but they didn't believe me. I was very shy to tell this to my teacher. I went home but I was way too shy to tell to my mother as well. It was the fourth day and I was at school. My friends at last believe me and was telling me to go and tell this to our teacher. And I did the same! My teacher called my mother and she picked me up from school. My teacher was giving me good wishes and I don't know why. The boys of our class were all curious and was asking what happened to her. And I was like Oh god! What happened to me?!

I had my first period when I was in grade 3 ( I was 8 yrs old ) so, I can pretty much relate to it, ( I am 11 yrs rn ) back then it was not that painful but now the painful part has began, I remember in grade 5 ( 2020 ) I got my periods on weekday which meant I had school but I had to take a leave from school because I literally fainted and vomited. It was the most painful day of my life and I can’t forget it. Even now, when I had my period this month ( it ended now ) I literally fainted, and my stomach was paining and I felt like someone is stabbing me with a knife 🔪

My first period continued 18 days!! I was too much frustrated.
I know that India doesn't have the awareness about sex education and Puberty here. And in rural areas people stop their girl education or not let her attend school until her Periods are over. And she's treated as untouchable in the village. We need to make awareness about the changes in the body and parents and teachers should be the one and only to be responsible if their student/child feel strange and weird about their body. Cause last year in my school they skipped the lesson about the Puberty and they said that chapter is useless and just nothing like common what happens if your child is teen and have no knowledge about puberty and feels scared you should have make him comfort and tell him/her about how to survive the situation.
Sorry for the all the girls and boys who are unable to get knowledge about puberty and even I have hit the puberty now so if your parents and teachers don't give importance about your body I prefer you to get to know about this in Internet they teach you more better than them. :) Hope you have a good day

Exactly opposite happened to me when I was in 6th standard. A girl ( cousin) asked me about what are sanitary napkins and for what purpose they are used . I am so glad that I had my first periods in almost end of class 8 so I already had rough idea of what it is. But just for fun I acted clueless in front of my mother and told her about it. To this she responded that you keep eating so much junk food. Look what has happened, how will I face society. I knew she was joking but if I didn't about this beforehand I would have believed in her. A kind advice to all parents please don't make such jokes with your kids. It can actually be very scary for the child.

You can drink as much water you want to drink to relieve your thirst, just dont drink too hot or cold cause its not even normally good to do that, normal mid temperature water is good and she should do what her body feels comfortable with, no one should tell her to always wear socks and be covered in blankets cause that's pure bs, if she is experiencing cramps then being warm is alright if she isnt feeling that cold then just a heating pad on stomach is amazing, a warm bath usually feels Great normally aswell and it does help in cramps sometimes but not very hot, we arent boiling vegetables-

Actually lack of water may lead to dehydration & some heat problems in her body. Drinking lots of water not only these days but every other normal day is important. If one's water in-take level is good, that person is most likely to be active. Imo some of the methods your sister had to follow were completely unnecessary (and some are even harmful)

I remember when in 7th grade all my girl gang started to bleed for their first time turn by turn but I didn't. Yes all my 3 friends that too within 6 months of first one menstruating. So the only conversation would be about the experience of how it felt and I was soo left out that I desperately waited for mine to arrive. I would pray to god but I still didn't so this made me feel that I would never bear a child, I'll be less of a woman and no one would ever marry me. When I got my first period I was in 6th std and dressed in my P.E uniform which consisted of a white skirt with shorts and I remember my friends telling me that I had a huge red patch on the back of my skirt. I will never forget the way they shielded me and helped me into a bathroom after which they went to the nurse's office to bring me a sanitary napkin and a spare skirt. My period story : the day before my school ( night ) i checked my pants ( idk why ) and i saw brownish black stains in my pants i thaught it was some vaginal discharge or smth .. next day i went to school without telling my grandma ( my mom doesnt live with me ) and it was a freakin exam in my school for 1st unit . After i got home my grandma rushed in and told me to open my pants . I did . I saw red blood in my pants . She used to wash my pants so yeah she found out . I didnt even knew i just ignored that 😂 she gave me a pad and yeah
I am 15 and I got my periods at 11, it's been freaking 4years!!
My final exams of class 6th were going on.First exam-math! Wrote it and came back home, went to bath, I saw some blood on my pants....I had no idea what th it was...so I just put a bandage on my inner thigh thinking maybe i Got hurt or smthg!
That blood won't stop at all and the worst part was my mom wasn't there she went shopping with her friends!
I seriously thought god was punishing me😂...So I started praying and asking for forgiveness....

Actually, I had got my first period in 6th standard holidays. Well I woke up, that day and felt like as if my Lower body was really light. But, also painful. I didn't even notice that my white pants were red. I went to the bathroom and I was feeling really squishy mushy down there. When I saw my pants. I was like ok? What is that? Why is that? I called in my grandmom, she was like ohoho my little sweetheart is grown up. I was confused she took me in and did all those which were necessary. Then, I learnt what are periods by my friends. They said me everything. And, yeah it's been almost 6 years since I have started menstruating and I am fed up. To all the girlies out there you rock!! Stay happy and healthy 😊✨💕

omg when i had my period i felt the blood coming out of me in class and i asked the girl next to me for a pad and she said she didn't have any so i had to go to the bathroom and stuff a bunch of toilet paper down there so when i got back to class this girl was like "oh i actually had a pad" and she started laughing and i was so pissed because i just went to the bathroom to change myself and she really didn't bother checking in her bag for me and i knew the teacher wouldn't let me go again so i had to sit down in dirty toilet paper for like 40 minutes of the class.
