Question : What tool do you use to track all the different position dividends to ensure that they are continuing to pay monthly (if they are monthly distributions). I'm looking for a low maintenance setup, and don't want to keep something that has cut their distribution but I might not notice if it's in with everything else. Thanks!

    Gold is important to keep as a disaster hedge. I love HGY for this purpose, while getting 6.5 points in call premiums from it, and also have Sprott physical. I'm at 15% of portfolio in gold/silver, because bad times are a-comin'. The world has to deleverage; there is no other way out. Most investors should have at least 5-10% precious metals, as the final safe haven of safe havens. It's telling that Bitcoin has to cloak itself with a logo that makes it look like, what else?... gold.

    • @PassiveIncomeInvesting
      @PassiveIncomeInvesting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you could be right but the bad times you speak about : you can never predict when they will come . Could be 10 years from now …

    • @JK-rv9tp
      @JK-rv9tp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PassiveIncomeInvesting I don't mean a crash so much, but a decade or two of decline, which puts a cash income portfolio in a good position actually, and I'm not selling my income holdings, just holding a significant gold holding as a long term hedge against other disasters. Watch this very persuasive Lacy Hunt presentation th-cam.com/video/qa5aloy_ays/w-d-xo.html. He predicts deflation long term, after a short bout of inflation short term, UNLESS, the Fed rules are changed to let the Fed dump money directly into the economy and all those trillions of QE are released from the banking system into the real economy. THEN we'll get hyperinflation. That part of the presentation made my little bit of hair stand on end. And gold is the best hedge for that. On the other hand, the only real hedge for a major market crash without cashing out is a long volatility options hedging strategy, which is complex and requires a lot of expertise and isn't really an option. On that, I agree; just ride it out with solid cash flowing assets.

    The equity market in U.S. is going to have a correction within next a year or two. The inflation pressure is too high or the inflation indicators, such CPI, PPI, etc., point that way. Invest in inflation protected funds for now and wait for the correction. Leaving your money in cash is losing money due to inflation. Putting in your government bonds is also losing money due the small returns that can’t cover the inflation.
