The cable I was stealing was disconnected while this season was on so I was stuck watching this show, but once I saw Benji's audition I had to keep watching, his shit just blew me away and had cheering alone in my living room.
When Brian's like "you took a lot of risks and you nailed it all", I just laughed considering that routine is what won Benji and Heidi the US title in the first place! And I felt bad for him that the judges kept talking about Heidi throughout the dance :(
same routing and outfit they wore when they won the National Championship in the last year, and well, they had won like 6-7 yrs in a row before this show..
@AguilarLatina No, she auditioned. They didn't show her performance, but I remember seeing her among the dancers. Don't remember which city it was. So I assume she got a ticket to Vegas.
@AguilarLatina this was at vegas week. He asked if in his dance for his life he could has a partner. And since his cousin was already there he used her as a partner.
she auditioned for the show in NYC with Dmitri she didn't get TV time. I believe because of her non-traditional look the judges felt she probably wouldn't have the personality or the strength to do this, then after seeing Benji's D4YL they obviously realized she was higher on the radar than they thought... but heidi has pics and stuff from her audition on her FB
i'm not sure, but did heidi audition? or did the judges ask her to come on the show after they saw this performance with benji? i feel like they asked her after seeing this...am i wrong?
