Story 1: I can't feel any sympathy for anyone in this story other than OP and her dad. The mom, F her. But others? They discarded OP's dad so easily that their apologizing to OP only makes them hypocrites. No matter what happens, unless you are 100% sure, everyone deserves to at least tell their side. F everyone else. I hope OP's dad is at peace and OP has a happy life. She's been through enough already.
It's hard to feel sorry for the dad to be honest. This is what happens when a man has no self respect. And the whole thing about staying for the kids... well this is a good example of how that usually turns out.
@@anthonymark2516 with how passive the dad was, I am guessing it was a thing that often happens: a person was turned into a victim (abusive parents, school bullies, whatever). Predators like the mom can sense this, insinuate themselves into the life of the victim and unleash their abusive personality to their heart's content. On the victim's part, it is learned behavior not basic personality, not something they were born with. So yeah, I don't blame the dad
I don't feel bad for the daughter. She knew how bad her father was hurting. How much her mom lied. How much her mom didn't care about her while her dad did. Yet she didn't stay in contact with her dad like she should have. She let him waste away without talking to him for days at a time. Showing the dad she doesn't really care about him that much.
@@Whooachannel I am talking about the mother taking her daughter to court for emotional damage. I was trying to say it would be better for OP to avoid that.
@FNaF-Fan-8893 That still wouldn't work. As the letter is not fake. You can't take someone to court for telling the truth unless they committed a crime. You can try civil court for libel but again you would have to prove that what was written was false
Naw, that would just invite constant abuse and harassment from the mom, if she doesn't know already. But how can she notalready know? If she tried even a little, she would find out that a hand-written letter was attached to the email. and the email probably contained stuff only she, the daughter and the dad could have known. well, maybe she thought that the dad had used a delayed email service. or maybe she did not think about this at all. or ignored it. probably the last one. she seems to be a genuine sociopath. and not one of the nice ones. So yeah, best not to attract the mom's attention
Ngl the S1 made me tear up. Op seems way too proud of her dad. Her fight to keep him alive in her heart and mind. She fought to salvage her dad’s name. She’s a goated daughter who was well educated by her dad
I'm kind of confused about the divorce and custody situation. When all of this happened, OP was 14. Idk which country this happened in but in America, child that age is allowed to testify and pick who they want to stay with. Granted, they can still be ignored and not believed but none of that was mentioned. Was OP able to say anything but was ignored or not allowed legally at all?
I do think abuse cases can have that overturned but that's usually only in very severe cases. Dad's lawyer must have sucked badly if he really never touched her.
They still would have talked to the kid. The fact that she never spoke up, or tried to correct it. And let so much time pass before even communicating over text, not even a voice call, showed him how much value he had.
I feel really bad for OP and her Dad. Everyone failed the 2 of them. ESPECIALLY his family and so called friends. You mean to tell me that after knowing this man for YEARS, DECADES even, sharing blood with him and growing up with him not a single solitary fucking person believed in him?!! Not a single person thought for a moment "hey that doesn't sound like him at all!" Instead they just blindly believed some woman without a SHRED of evidence or proof. This is why I don't subscribe to the creed of "believe all women" Sorry, not sorry, but no. I'm not just going to take your word for it that something happened to you. I need proof, evidence, something that ACTUALLY supports what you claim. Your word doesn't mean shit to me and things like this are why
This is truly a heartbreaking story. It’s painful to see how dishonesty and manipulation can have such devastating effects on someone’s life, both emotionally and financially. It’s important to acknowledge that no one deserves to be falsely accused or have their life torn apart due to someone else's actions. Hopefully, sharing experiences like this can raise awareness about the importance of honesty, accountability, and the need for a fair justice system. Stay strong, and I hope healing and justice are found for everyone involved.
As a brazilian I can say that the people in Rio Grande do Sul are still dealing with the aftermath of the floods to this day, and it happened back in march-april if I'm not mistaken, additionally, this woman's story isn't the only one where people stole clothes out of spite disguized as "I thought those were the ones you were donating" and stuff as such...
One of my cousins was visiting his wife's family during that time, the destruction was surreal, I'd have assumed it was an exaggeration without the pics.
@AmaryInkawult it's not, I think there are still non-profit, governamental and non-governamental institutions that are still gathering donations for the victims of the floodings
Story 2: BPD is a heck of a disorder. It’s like having alien hand syndrome, only the alien hands are other people, and you just can’t get it through your head that they aren’t you, because your interpersonal boundaries are so diffused.
@@benzemamumba Borderline Personality Disorder. I've known a few people with it, and it can be a REAL psychological problem for people with it that don't take their therapy seriously and manage it mindfully. The best text describing it for the layman is "I hate you, don't leave me" by Hal Straus and Jerold J. Kreisman. It's probably best described as a failure to develop a fully coherent sense of self due to neglect during early stages of upbringing. The Borderline person, not having a clear sense of who they are, develops a tendency to define themselves RELATIONALLY rather than individually, identifying themselves based on who they know rather than who they've decided they are. They've also got a tendency to seize on any identifier they can (even up to the point of psychosomatically reproducing behavioral patterns of other disorders if they get it in their heads that they have those conditions, even if they didn't before). They're often the type to go hard into any stereotypes they may fall under because it helps them feel like they know who they are. Their relational identity means that they have a tendency to see the people they're attached to not as people, but as extensions of their own identity... and if you don't behave the way they think you're supposed to behave, it can make them genuinely flip out, because it's messing around with who they think they are. You being an independent person that makes your own decisions without consulting them sets off their Identity Protective Response. Consequently, they have a tendency to experience a psychological 'split' in relation to people (not QUITE a disassociative identity/multiple personality, but more like two different versions of the same core identity that simply have a different set of opinions about the same thing), generally along the pattern of idolizing their attachments on the one hand ("so and so is SUCH A GOOD FRIEND, I love them!"), and villainizing them on the other ("So and so is an ABSOLUTE MONSTER, I never want to see them again!"). They'll tend to fall into whichever split most closely aligns with the situation that person most recently left them in, idolizing them if the person helped them feel secure in the attachment (thus helping them feel secure in their identity), or villainizing them if the person asserted independence from them. Having a person with untreated BPD in your life can genuinely fuck you up, because they often become extremely good at psychological abuse tactics that enable them greater levels of control over their attachments. If they won't recognize their behavior as a problem and seek treatment, oftentimes the best way to protect yourself is to go no contact.
