      Yeah, the face reveal, jump on camera will happen at some point. Just need to tidy up my digital footprint of really controversial Cities Skylines content, and then do a Digital AUDIT, then speak to my lecturers. Because they did also strongly advise to be present on Social Media, like in LINKEDIN groups and have a public profile showcasing your talents. But I do feel, that SOME of my content warrants a face for content emphasis - like the autism series - but the Mapping and UP series, do not warrant it!

    Take a look at Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a city that suffers with no meaningful city planning and an enormous amount of urban sprawl. The traffic in this city makes it extremely miserable to live or work or even visit, especially with no useful public transportation. Cities like this are in desperate need of help.

    For ur first semester u really acquainted urself well and made use of ur resources to make sure u wouldn't fall behind good job. u will most likely meet some of the same people a few times in different courses so i recommend u don't make things weird or unfriendly. It's ok to make friends slowly in rooms filled with so many people it naturally feels like everyone is a lone wolf vs highschool where the class vibes with each other. Group assignments will come don't worry. Goodluck

    When I was in college I refused to use Turn-it-in. My argument was that the company charged schools for their service which is entirely composed of students' intellectual property, for which they don't compensate us. My argument was persuasive. I submitted my papers to my professors, complete with my research material and drafts. (And a big copywrite statement on the report). While plagiarism is a huge problem, big businesses should be making profits off the work of honest students.
    BTW, when you mentioned the clubs in this video, did you say "furries"?! 😍

But apparently, they must be reasonable with it, because another student had 36% and the uni didn't care. OH YES, there is a furries club.... and not any furries club. It's a ND furries club.

I'm so excited to start urban planning later this month, many of my units sound quite similar to yours and this video has made me even more excited! it's very nice finding a community of people who are neurodivergent and passionate about urban/city planning too

      I'm SO SO SO happy that you are switching to Urban Planning. GIS does very tough. My advice, start that subject first, do those assignments before anything else. Plus, if you do SKETCH UP - prepare for your PC to MELTDOWN - the specs required for SKETCH UP make Cities Skylines 2 look like a junior. Maybe one day, we might cross paths and work in the same Planning Office or for URBIS - seems URBIS is the place to be. And YAY for AUTIST CITY PLANNERS.

    I have many questions, mate. I've never been to Uni, and the furthest South I've ever been is Benidorm. 😂
    What exactly has cost 16 grand? Is that just the first semester, we call them "terms" in England. Or is it the entire course, or just first year? If it's for the entire course, how long is it? I'm just trying to understand where all the money is going, as that's £8300.
    Anyway, besides all the questions. Good on you for going to Uni, it's a fucking big step for anyone to make. I'm sure you'll be fine and making plenty of friends etc, once you settle into it properly.

    • @cityplannermismanages
      @cityplannermismanages  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      No, that's for the first semester, which is for 6 months, the whole degree is around $40k. Things in Australia are just expensive and university tuition prices aren't regulated, so top 100 global unis charge more than regional less internationally recognised unis. The tuition isn't paid upfront but when you start working. I think it's worth every cent and I was speaking to a swedish friend who is also doing city planning and his course is free, and he said our facilities and coursework is 100× better than what their offered, so I was surprised by that. Thanks for the support. Any questions just fire away

    • @cityplannermismanages
      @cityplannermismanages  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      3 years, but can be done in 2. It's 60 credit points. Each subject is 6 points. The good thing abt the degree is, EVERY subject is city planning, no dumb electives (there is 3 FREE compulsory subjects though) like Consent matters, how to write for uni, and a careers one. The student loan is 10% of your wage, after you earn over 75k per year.
