    • @timcoleman3784
      @timcoleman3784 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      who cares lol, people like different music. ive never understood this. the people who listen to brostep would never have listened to original dubstep and vice versa. the fact that they share a suffix is just circumstantial

    • @lukefreeman828
      @lukefreeman828 4 ปีที่แล้ว +75

      Tim Coleman that’s nothing to do with what I said. People think brostep IS dubstep and have never even heard of the term “brostep”. It’s a conflation of terms which is totally wrong. You wouldn’t call Blues music Metal would you? So why accept it here?

    • @lukefreeman828
      @lukefreeman828 4 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Tim Coleman you’re totally wrong anyway. The people who listened to brostep did listen to dubstep. Hell, the people that created brostep started at dub. But the point is, people don’t know what dubstep is, thinking it’s all stuff like Skillex’s shite when it simply isn’t.

    • @lukefreeman828
      @lukefreeman828 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Tim Coleman also, think you need to look up “circumstantial”. Because your use of that is wrong too. Brostep evolved from dubstep, so there’s nothing remotely circumstantial about it.

    Fantastic stuff. So many memories from those halycon days (or daze even!). The first even DMZ I went to was at the last one they did at 3rd Base before going upstairs to Mass. FWD was a no-brainer - every flippin' week!
    Would loved to have heard some Distance and Pinch in the blind test too - absolute dons of the scene back then too.

    Joker wasnt too big in the US, glad I got to see him in Denver. Going on a eurotrip in April would love to find some rooms playing this era of dubstep. Certainly miss it, brostep wave in the US drowned this style out way too fast here.
