I bought a 2019 Ioniq Limited, January 1st. I almost bought the Honda Insight but the local dealership told me they did not have any, when I knew they had two in stock, Their loss. Then i noticed that Hyundai had one 2019 Ioniq still in stock. I decided to just check it out. Wow, i fell in love with it the moment I saw it. I was particularly interested in getting a Hybrid for the Tech and high MPG. While the sticker states 55 city and 54 highway, I did not expect to get those values. At this point I have nearly 1200 miles of just driving around town. Most trips are between 8 and 12 miles (one way). Driving it to get the best mpg I average 46 to 47. On occasion I get 48 to 50 mpg. The best I have gotten is 52.2mpg. If I drive a little more aggressively, I still get 44.5mpg or better. Doing the math instead of relying on the cars computer to tell me what mpg I'm getting I am seeing an average over the last 1100 miles of 44.6 mpg. I have not had the opportunity of driving on out of town trip yet and look forward to driving it to my sisters which is 305 miles one way. I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking at buying a Hybrid. The car is fun to drive and I love the way the controls are laid out and the way they function. In my 60's, I have owned a lot of cars, and this one is my all time favorite. My background in in Mechanical Engineering and my feel is that Hyundai got this right. And their Warantee is as good as it gets. Drive one and you will either love it or hate it. I'm betting you will love it.

This is my first smart car and Hybrid vehicle I am financing this car. I hope my boarder takes good care of this vehicle. it doesn't have a temporary spare tire.

I’d probably get this if I had to get a hybrid.

this is a fantastic hybrid. best one on the market. however i feel like I'd want to get the plug in hybrid (since i want the premium sound system, the normal hybrid ultimate trim is very similar to the price of the plug in hybrid so might as well get the benefits of a plug in if Im going to spend that money)

I looked into getting the plug in version instead of the Limited. The tax break would be $2,750. however, to move up to the plug in version would mean more than $4,000 more. So I stuck to the Limited and ma very happy I did. Had the EV version been available in Georgia I might have bought it. But unfortunately the EV version is sold only in one or two states out west.

Doesn't the hybrid get the sound system with the ultimate package?

It’s not a quick car. You can drive it however you like but you’re not out running anyone in this. 🤷‍♂️

i think the 17 inch wheels on this are miles better than the 15s on the other models....did people no that the 17s give alot poorer fuel economy...they must be covered in glue or somethink hahah
