Deadpool 2 was SUCH A FUN MOVIE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AND SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT SO DONT READ THIS** and the end credit scene of "cleaning up the timeline" LMAOOOOO that was such a nice touch. I really need to give it to the studio for doing that. As gorey, dirty, and nsfw as Deadpool typically is - this was surprisingly wholesome!! It made me actually enjoy it that much more and I was in disbelief when they really tried killing Wade off. It did folow the same formula as Logan though, with wanting to die and forshadowing it a bit so having the twist at the end where he doesn't was so good. It's so nice that he finally has a family and has grown more in this film. Thank you guys so incredibly much for watching and I hope you enjoy!!!

@@MetzMan Yeah, Josh did all the Mo-cap for Thanos too. Complete with dots on his face, a face camera, and a stick up his back with a Thanos photo two feet above his head. That's why the performance was so good. They did the same thing with Mark Ruffalo playing Hulk.
Alan Tudyk played one of the guys when Cable lands in DP's timeline. He also played in Firefly. The other guy that was talking to him about baby wipes, is Matt Damon.

This movie was probably the best example of "luck" at work. Domino's scenes were some of my favorite in the movie, just wish we'd gotten more.

So, what happened in the movie was Domino, being Domino. The only part not true to this is the "line of sight", since some things happened behind her, which would technically be out of her "LOS".

Their powers are similar, but not the same. As for why his power failed him? Since he was attempting to free mutant criminals, perhaps the universe classified that as an "evil" act, and his powers backfired.

According to Marvel, his power can work against him if he "attempt to use his powers for a selfish or evil act, or should he give up hope..." I feel that him getting blown into a helicopter's blades definitely falls into the category of "bad luck". I simply suggested that whatever force that governs Longshot's power obviously felt he was not doing the "right thing", hence his bad luck.
Youtmeme said that Domino "took his power" and that Longshot should have "survived all odds". That is clearly NOT how Longshot's power works. His and Domino's powers have a clear difference in that her power always works in her favor or agianst her opponents "within her line of sight". Longshot's does not.
I love how much of an impact Yukio had in this movie, when she basically just keeps saying hi to Wade. :D
Yeah, them removing that cute little running gag is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of the super duper extended cut.
Part of domino's abilities is while being really lucky she kind of make others unlucky around her, mainly when she would be in danger. She don't consciously trigger the ability
Dom has to actively be doing something for her powers to work, though. So if she just hangs around her apartment chilling all day it's not going to do anything for her. But if she's trying to take an impossible shot with a rifle, or dodge through a hail of gunfire or whatever, that's when her powers kick in.

True story, that was Brad Pitt. And Ryan Reynolds convinced him to do this for a cup of coffee. And a promise that he would appear in a Pitt movie for a few seconds at a later date lol
As I recall, Pitt was also one of the front runners for Cable. I know there was concept art made of him in the role for the film, and he was certainly a popular fan cast (along with Stephen Lang, who I think was actively lobbying for it).

Prob somebody already mentioned this, but a fun comics fact, you're so much on point about Domino causing too many deaths. Her luck power isn't just about good luck but literally about stealng luck from everybody around. So, as you've seen, a lot of people got f***ed just because Domino was standing on the road and avoiding damage. Hell, death of the entire X-Force team appears to be her fault too.

Fun fact: wade mentions someone “who can’t draw feet”, referring to the original artist behind Deadpool’s iconic look, rob liefield. Notorious for his quick work in drawing characters with thin and simply drawn feet.
I always think it's worth mentioning that in the comics, Deadpool had a "thing" with Death (who in the MCU was female) so I think this was an interesting way to loop that in.
Fun Fact: When he pulled up the floor board with the coke and cure for blindness in there was a nod to what he told his Room Mate in the first movie... he was telling the truth lol

I was in theaters opening day for this one, and the crowd went nuts when Deadpool started "cleaning up the timeline". Especially that Green Lantern part, people were laughing and applauding louder than the rest of the film. I love that Ryan is able to make fun of his other projects

The different actress is unfortunate. I though Rila Fukushima was a great Yukio. Not that I didn't like Shioli Kutsuna who was super good, but I think Rila captured the character better. Then again, the Shioli version is more Deadpool. I don't complain, but there is a definite difference.

There are three different versions of this film with different takes and jokes, an actual family friendly one (with a funny extra layer) and a really adult adult version. All three are good and it means it can be rewatched three times without suffering from knowing all the jokes and cool bits in advance.

This came out 3 weeks after Avengers: Infinity War (April 27, 2018). DP2 was released in (May 18, 2018), he went in between sets in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2 movies in Mid 2017 with Marvel and Fox. Also, in Early to Mid 2018 Josh Brolin was shooting Endgame for his role as Thanos, he had more screentime and the most in Infinity War compared to the IW cast and the time for playing Cable for DP2.

@@VKunia The image of Thanos in the MCU is computer generated, but Josh Brolin was the voice, and the motion capture actor to generate the CGI images. This is similar to how Andy Serkis was both the voice and motion capture source for Gollum in Lord of the Rings/Hobbit.
Unsure if anyone told you, Cable is the son of Scott Summer/Cyclops and a clone of Jean Grey (Scott's first wife), and as this movie obviously shows he's from the future. The metal aspect of him is a technological virus, and if he didn't have to devote all his powers to fighting the virus so it doesn't overtake him, he'd be a character of insane power in the Marvel Universe. Commonly fights alongside Deadpool, hence the "only best friends execute pedophiles together" line. Unsure how accurate the backstory is, like I'm pretty sure it was a bigger X-men threat that brought him back rather than the kid they introduced here.

Glad you enjoyed yourself watching this one, but if you want a family friendly Deadpool there is always Once Upon A Deadpool. That one is an edited version of this film to make it more family oriented, plus it has the best cameo ever by Fred Savage.

I had sympathy for the kid the entire movie, surprising you'd be so hard on him. Being tortured his whole life, and then getting some actual powers, you could see how it would go that way initially, but he was still just a kid. And I hoped it would turn out as it did, the whole time when first watching this film.
When DP says "he's teamed up with the Juggernaut, the Juggernaut" I wonder if it's intentionally similar to Timon saying "go for the jugular, the jugular".

I just thought about it and Cable came from a very very futuristic future. A future that wouldnt look like that after lets say 36 years if we say Russel in the film was 14 and in the future he was around 50.

Josh Brolin was Thanos as well. He was also in The Goonies about a pirate called One Eyed Willy (which is why Deadpool called him that). And yes Deadpool 3 is filming now and is part of the MCU (the first R-rated movie in the MCU)

Ok so funny story.. when I heard the choir during the juggernaut fight I lol’ed in the theatre.. after the movie I texted a friend (Alex) in LA that plays trombone for movie scores regularly.
I asked if he had played DP2 and he said “no, I wasn’t on that call. Why do you ask?”
I told him about the choir parts and he said “oh! Ok! I was getting to the sound stage one day for a difffenrt call and a bunch of choir people were leaving that I knew and they were laughing their Arses off about what they just had to record. They could barely keep straight faces !” 😂

At one point Scott thought Jean was dead and met and later married a woman who looked like her called Madelyne Pryor and had a son called Nathan with her. She turned out to be a clone of Jean created by the villain Sinister so he could control a Summers child. Apocalypse later infected Nathan with a virus that was turning his body into machinery and killing him so he was taken into the future to stop the spread. By the time he got back to the present he looked older than Scott.

Just as an FYI: Cable is actually named Nathan Summers... And is the son of Scott Summers (aka Cyclops) and a clone of Jean Grey. He got a disease when he was a baby that there was no cure for in "modern" times, so he was sent into the future to a point where he could be cured, although he is never technically cured, and he has to use his mutant power of telekinesis to keep the virus at bay. Cable was created by the same person who created Deadpool (Rob Liefeld) and while they were originally enemies (Deadpool was originally a villain), they ended up teaming together quite frequently. Oh, Domino and Shatterstar were also introduced around the same time as Cable and Deadpool, and also were created by Liefeld (They all first appeared in The New Mutants comic, near the end of its original run. After New Mutants #100, it was rebranded as X-Force #1)
