The micheal Phelps goggles are meant for racing and the vision is blurred in the middle in exchange for a 180 degree view. That is why the vision test was failed. They are not for the same purpose as some of the competition.
I think they should do these tests based on points instead of elimination so the ones doing really well, like Michael Phelps don't get eliminated when they're really good, but lacking in one test.
