To be fair, a good rogue is one you never see coming. There should be a way to properly mix good gameplay with the idea of someone who comes, kills you and goes.

Let's say death stalker summons shadow rogues that use some kind of vault and finisher ability, they get some other kind of on theme ability instead of passives and the hero talents would be flavorfull and look cool. It took me 30 secs to come up with some idea and it already looks better than the tree while being on theme.
Could be accurately summarised as "Deal more damage when you carry on with your normal rotation." What does any of this have to do with being a deathstalker?
I wish slice and dice was just baked into envenom or removed. It’s such a lame button that’s just kept up permanently through talents.

i mean the talent trees are pretty well done, all hero specs tho.. so underwhelming all three of them

Looks amazing for sub, but sins only weakness is when we cant restealth which this further magnifies
2 charges of vanish but also the bottom node of the Hero Talent makes it so that when you use the final Deathstalker's Mark, your next Envenom reapplies 3 stacks, so you'll always have a rolling stack of Marks and if you have a charge of vanish up, you can vanish to reapply the mark if they fall off for whatever reason or you need to switch targets

The deathstalker as a hole is garbage and barly functional as it is right now.
Darkest night isn't that big of a hill to climb. Could just add that if the target dies with a stack of mark you get free ambush outside of stealth. EZPZ.
You guys are expecting too much from Blizzard. It's a small indie company after all
they are really missing a bunch of opportunities to finally add more aoe to rogues which we've never have gotten and good reliable aoe ever and now they are still going with the basically almost all single target
The tree is garbage and full or boring passive damage that doesn't even flow very well.. scrap it and give is interesting abilities and new animations not passive bull shit... Lock and mage have so much more creative thinking behind them.
disappointed as hunters, only passives withouth animation, i reall yhope they fix this.
I think instead of making it harder for sub to reapply marks they should make it easier for assassination to reapply them without having to reenter stealth. Otherwise this set of talents is kind of DOA for assassination while synergizing perfectly with sub.
the idea if plague dmg is really nice. the implemention is not so nice. sounds like another rework in s2.
either you have forgotten about the assa funnel or you didnt play much assa in s3 and s4. caustic splatter is so good for funnel. do you only have to ambush or be in stealth?
there is the talent blindside which lets you get random procs of ambush. but they need to make it that you cant refresh it on the same target. so you always can use those 3 stacks of the mark.

I get it, it's a PvP primary class that is impossible to balance, they're either beyond broken or completely gutted. But as far as a "hero class" they could've done so much more.
Planting bombs in pockets while stealthed as a non break stealth ability. Some sort of saboteur would've been so cool. This is all just vanilla base rogue with "meh" passives.
The whole deathstalkers mark thing with ambush as an opener seems awful to me don’t Rouges almost always open with garrote with all the talents that buff it with 50 percent more damage out of stealth 3 combo points to start with and garrote spreading to 3 close targets kind of a waste
So while I do appreciate you showing the problems with the HT's in real content like Delves to show potential issues, it would have been nice to see a full ST and AOE rotation to show off the abilities, like the capstone, because I don't think you really showed it off fully.
If the ability can only be applied while in stealth, why limit it to Ambush? I don't want to ambush as assa, I want to garrote, I want to riddle my target with 1.000.000 dots and watch them panic and die suffocating. Leave ambushing for Sub rogues.

I feel like deathstalkers mark should be applied by Garrote for assassination instead of ambush.
Since you spread Garrote in AOE this would actually be worse.

Damn this one isn’t for outlaw?? I was hoping to boost my single target with this!!! Aoe is fine at the moment. Trickster and fatebound look like dogshit to me I was hoping this one would be it and it was but not for outlaw what a crock of shit. Overall what I’m seeing I’m quite disappointed with rogues hero specs. Wanted to play rogue again in war within but I may play warrior instead. Atleast I can tank then and mountain thane looks hella cool.

This is so boring. As it stands this hero talent tree has definitely made me cross Rogue of my list in TWW as a main or main alt.
correct me if im wrong, but it would literally he impossible to use deathstalker in a raid? on a boss fight u can apply it once as soon as it starts, and once its gone then thats it?? if so thats a insanely stupid hero talent
You can vanish to reapply them (you get 2 charges if you take the bottom right class talent option) or shadow dance for Sub, but also the bottom Hero Talent node basically makes your eviscerate or envenom reapply it after it uses the last charge, so it seems like it'll always be getting reapplied, while having vanish/shadow dance as a backup way to apply them if it falls off or you change targets.

where are the animations? the class fantasy? compare this with what mages and deathknights got and....yeah it feels like all 3 trees are just passive increases. I'm all for simplifying rogue rotations but this feels....lazy.

I feel these hero talents are there for players who dont want additional complexity to their spec and im all for it.
was thinking to come back on wow afther dropping in Shadowland but the fact rogue is totally shit according to combato LOg to run High Mithyc + insane complex rotation hold me back. maybe this hero talent will change the way to play and give rogue the spot he deserve
