This is so stupidly fucking good, that chorus is buried into my brain. Love the campy 70s folk horror vibe, love this. I love Ghost too, these guys are different enough
Man, OCCULT METAL is just KILLING it right now, as a genre or subgenre, there are so many great new acts just swaggering across the scene right now, and this is one of them, along with LUCIFER as well, it's a GOLDEN AGE of proto, Heavy stuff, more, please!
Just heard about these folks. Man, they ROCK! Love the Sabbath and Deep Purple influence of the organ and 70's sound. I went and bought all three albums.
How have I overlooked this band? I've heard Jess and the Ancient Ones, Uncle Acid, Purson, Mount Salem, and The Devil's Blood to name a few but this is my first time ever hearing this band. I have a new band I need to now listen to everything they ever made!
Their debut EP Free the Witch and first album Woodland Rites don't have any keyboard sounds on them. John Wright the keyboard/organist first appears on the Black Harvest (second album). All their music can be found on bandcamp.
Hopefully they keep the stoner-y Sabbath vibes going forward. I like this song, and I love Ghost, but GL has such a unique identity and it'd be a shame if they just became a clone of Ghost.
Ah , the superlative Green Lung with their folklore , riffs and legends of Britain . Excellent musicianship and very cool lyrics , what's not to love and adore ?
Have loved these guys for a few years now i was soooo excited when i saw a new album dropped and it was just as amazing as the last. I cant stop listening to this song and the rest of the album too. Hope they come to Chicago some day!!!
Saw them live last night for the first time at KK'S in Wolverhampton, and was totally blown away! Im usually a metalcore fan but love anything rock/metal and ended up spending more than I should have on merch, whoops! 😂 Phenomenal live 👏
Been a fan since “free the witch” (to this day, one of the best examples of classic metal + doom ever) and seeing you grow has been a blast. Thank you for the ride so far lads
My dear friend discovered Green Lung a couple of years ago and we love them! Cannot wait to see them in Brighton in a couple of weeks. I see the comments regarding the move from Doom (which I have loved for decades) to a slightly different angle, but for me I quite like the progression. Couldn't believe it when I heard them on Planet Rock. Seriously good band!
Seems like it. There is a Ton of info in the discriptionbox( well if you follow the links). I am not Spiritual or Religious, this music and all the lore around it is pretty dope though. :)
You're right, I totally forgot that was his wife's name! Funny, I was just talking about Alexandrian Witchcraft and how Alex had the balls to call himself "King of the Witches."
they're leaving doom behind. by the next album they'll be on tour with the "party metal" bands. don't blame them for chasing the money and success as musicians but are you genuinely listening to this song and thinking they're still doom? 😂😂
I sincerely hope I'm not saying "I miss Green Lung's Black Harvest days" in 4 years like I miss Ghost's Meliora days. Seeing so many people say this reminds them of Ghost makes me scared. Don't go pop, GL. Stick to doom!
I like this. I went back and listened to other videos. Pretty good but I like this song way better. Sounds like ghost some. Which is great. I have come to realize that it's way harder to write something catchy that it is to write something technical. Technical playing can be learned over time. But creativity in making a catchy tune is just inspiration. It's not easy. I love a good solo and done bad ass drums but first I want a good melody. I like this song. But I will try to listen to there older stuff more to give it more chance. But I am especially interested in what this new album will have. Hopefully more stuff like this song.
At 0:36 we can see the Green Lung keyboardist in the frame, but a few seconds later we can also see someone's left arm in the same frame. Did this get messed up somehow? Was the whole band supposed to be in the frame?
Weird sounds like maniac mixed with interesting chordprogressions but the vical lines dont get me yet i clicked. Now let me listen to my fucking audio book
Brilliant video! Love the new Dracula-esque look Tom is rocking. I'd say musically it's their most mundane song so far, but the main theme reminds me of Coven's Black Swan which is quite nice. I'll be waiting for the album in hopes that they balance it out with something heavier. Maybe something along the lines of what Pagan Altar were doing with their music
Wow after all this time this is the first Green Lung song i don't like... As a track its great but remind me a lot the band Ghost...I miss the old Green Lung vibe...lets hope the other tracks from the new album remained close to the old style...
Both of the new singles are definitely a departure but I'm cool with the guys trying out new vibes. But yes, this is without a doubt a song that will divide new fans/old fans with strong opinions.
Same. This really worries me that GL is going to lose their doom metal vibes and go more pop like the rest of everyone else ever. Green Lung has been such an amazing escape from the status quo of the last 2 decades...

"Maxine, wet dream" is my new favorite misheard lyric
I always heard it as "Maxine Wears Green" lmao. Now I can switch it out depending on what words I want to hear.
Just heard about these folks. Man, they ROCK! Love the Sabbath and Deep Purple influence of the organ and 70's sound. I went and bought all three albums.
This was a lot of fun to film. It was lovely to meet you all.
Helgis!!!!!!! Best bar in London!!!!!!!!!

Let the devil in and gravyard sun are fantastic
Wait until you see them live.🤘
@@richardhughes515 I wish they'd tour the US
It's like a British Ghost (not a bad thing) 👻🤘
But way better!
I was just about to say that!!!
Hopefully GL can cross the Atlantic very soon and tour here in the USA
Hopefully they keep the stoner-y Sabbath vibes going forward. I like this song, and I love Ghost, but GL has such a unique identity and it'd be a shame if they just became a clone of Ghost.
Early Ghost, not the embarrassing KISS clone of the past two albums
Ah , the superlative Green Lung with their folklore , riffs and legends of Britain . Excellent musicianship and very cool lyrics , what's not to love and adore ?
Green lung is one of the reasons I love music so much! Can't wait for a new album❤
Have loved these guys for a few years now i was soooo excited when i saw a new album dropped and it was just as amazing as the last. I cant stop listening to this song and the rest of the album too. Hope they come to Chicago some day!!!
Your typical night out at Helgi's!
Saw them live last night for the first time at KK'S in Wolverhampton, and was totally blown away! Im usually a metalcore fan but love anything rock/metal and ended up spending more than I should have on merch, whoops! 😂 Phenomenal live 👏
It’s like Ghost but with Ozzy as the frontman 🔥
Can't wait for the new cd! Love this!!!!!
My daughter gets to grow up with her own song. How very cool
Thank you, Maxine.
My favorite band right now.
Green lung amazing video clip and fantastic band 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎤🎧🇬🇧🇬🇧🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵maxine the witch QUEEN 👑
Heard this on the radio this morning and actually thought it was ghost from the intro. I love ghost and will definitely now search green lung out.
Been a fan since “free the witch” (to this day, one of the best examples of classic metal + doom ever) and seeing you grow has been a blast. Thank you for the ride so far lads
This video is so wonderfully done and creative, really dig the story this told!
So excited about seeing Green Lung at Desert Fest NYC!
My dear friend discovered Green Lung a couple of years ago and we love them!

Seriously good band!
Just heard this on Kerrang! radio and had to hear it again, soooo good!
Probably my favourite off the new album, it's a lot of fun.
Nadal jestem pod wrażeniem. To przejście z 4 na 3 czarno biały z szumem do 16 na 9 kolor bez szumu jest bardzo przemyślane i trafia do serca.😊
Great song, and I really dig the video!!!
Cant wait cant wait cant wait
Green Lung never disappoints. Great stuff, as usual!
A song about the Beautiful Maxine Sanders. Well done
I wonder what she thinks of it 😀
AWESOME 🌠 Green Lung puts out the best music !!
Warto było chwilę zaczekać. I zagrali !😊
Best video, best band, best bar in the world
Need a version 2, pendle witch time! Great music guys!
The start of the video clip gave me strong love witch vibes.
Excellent! (Green Lung)
Here we go!
Damned Damned Damned Good.
Picked that u on the radio. Had to find out what's what. And that alone shows how catchy this song is.
This must be a song about the Alexandrian Witchcraft elder Maxine Sanders
Seems like it. There is a Ton of info in the discriptionbox( well if you follow the links). I am not Spiritual or Religious, this music and all the lore around it is pretty dope though. :)
@@DrunkenDemon I agree

Can't wait to see you guys in Thessaloniki on March!
I laughed so hard at the very end of the video that there were tears. Also, the tune is elite
fucking ace. best british band in decades.
Absolute brilliance
Best doom band happening now
Bring on the new album
they're leaving doom behind. by the next album they'll be on tour with the "party metal" bands. don't blame them for chasing the money and success as musicians but are you genuinely listening to this song and thinking they're still doom? 😂😂
@@manfrombritain6816 You had better report Green Lung to the doom metal police.
I don't hear any fucking doom anymore, apparently "doom" metal has a new identity as in anything Satan related and creepy sounding
Reminds me of Ghost
Yes the first songs of Ghost
Almost a ripoff tbh.
Hope they find their own voice soon.
Chevelle became much better when they stopped ripping off TOOL and found their own thing.
My favorite of all the videos online that end with a money shot!
Nuclear Blast eh?! Movin on up
Reminds me of later Damned, which is a good thing. Good stuff!
Greetings from Alderley edge you rock
Congratulations guys, you deserve it!
Great band, wonderful song, my daughter's name is Maxine ❤️
If someone got the guitar tab, I would love to learn this song for her 🤘
Cheers !
Amazing music and clip video sir.
Such a privilege to be in this!
Cool song!!
Nice song Alan Wake
I hope a U.S. tour is in the cards. Please do not overlook Phoenix. 🤘
🔥🤘🔥🤘
Nice nod to the "Secret Rites" docudrama at the start there ;-)
I sincerely hope I'm not saying "I miss Green Lung's Black Harvest days" in 4 years like I miss Ghost's Meliora days. Seeing so many people say this reminds them of Ghost makes me scared. Don't go pop, GL. Stick to doom!
Exactly, this sucks
Kerrang always introduce me to some random shit..love it 😂
😎🤘👍🤘🤘
boa essa introdução 🇧🇷🤘🏻
me and my buds stoned at a Spirit Halloween
im 60 does sorta reminds me off the crazy 80s in London
Very Ghostly, but not in the slightest ghastly. See you in Glasgow chaps.
🤘👹🤘
omg is that jamie she tho?

Another comment.....why do I expect to see Kim Newman in a cameo in this vid?
Anyone else got the urge to throw a "SONIC BOOM" 💥💥
This is like Sister Imperator's origin story.🤣
All the Ghost fans really assembled here
@@oimss2021 In hissing voice: "... we are legion..."😎
Very Dennis Wheatley.

I love everything about this video!
This song gives me major Ghost vibes(good Ghost)
I love this! Green Lung can do no wrong!
Атмосферно.
They are more complicated now less hard rock sabbath style more on the occult side...in the music vocals etc
They've been listening to a LOT of Ghost 😂😂
Я людина проста. Бачу новий кліп Green Lung - ставлю лайк
Weird sounds like maniac mixed with interesting chordprogressions but the vical lines dont get me yet i clicked. Now let me listen to my fucking audio book

Fucking alderley edge
There's a pub called Helgis in my town, Kirkwall.
👍🇸🇪
You guys do not know how to make a band song 😂
Awesome vid and song 🤘🤘🤘
What if the film the wicker man made a band ?
Sounds a bit like early ghost records. Am i wrong?
Unfortunately, you're right. Just as they got on Nuclear Blast they change their style, I was going to buy the vinyl, but not anymore

They give us what ghost could not give us
Sounds like a fuzzy version of ghost.
I prefer the old stuff, more stoner
Personally, I'd have just bought a dog.
So much influenced by Kenneth Anger and White Town's video Your woman.
Lucifer rules! Is the battle jacket a shout out to the deity or the band?
Shovel Knight music
Green lung is too satanic to get to the level of Ghost
Ghost without masks
