Hey, I remember when this hack first came out-it was really interesting because the Mario world hacking community at the time was super focused on adding new things the game like new graphics and this was just a more traditional hack that just used content from the original game but had really really good design. I would love to see more of this.

PBG I feel you on the whole sleep deprivation this time of year. For me, I can go to sleep easily but end up waking up early around 4-6 and can't go back to sleep for at least an hour or two. Sometimes I even end up forgetting if I did fall back to sleep or not unless I check the time. Pretty weird that it only happens around this time of year.
As someone who grew up playing Super Mario World, I would love to see you guys play through all new levels!

Fair warning, some crazy things are possible in rom hacking, I don't know what a physical cart can handle, but pretty much anything is possible if you have the skills needed. So there can be segments to the right, left, any direction from the start.
This means that in a custom game there is (Essentially) no limits.
Also needing the key was indeed required for the main story. If you didn't take a secret exist you'd get stuck in an infinite loop.
Similar to how Torpedo Ted was the hardest to find enemy in the game but they indeed exist.

This looks neat! I'd like to see more. Honestly, I've often been disappointed in rom hacks since, as Jeff mentioned, they tend to be super hard. I know there are a lot of people out there who like that kinda thing, but sometimes I want to play something new with about the same difficulty. This looks like it might fit that bill.
As a side note, the editing on this show is so smooth and good! I wish I was that good with my video editing. Like that smooth screen flip at the end! It happened so seamlessly that at first I thought it was just part of the game...

I saw this game for sale on EBay a while back and was fascinated by what it was until I learned what ROM Hacks are.

Just so you guys know, you can spin jump on the sawblades. Jeff kept trying to carefully jump over them in the tight spaces of the castle.
Interesting so far, the design does feel a lot like a Mario game. I'd be down to see more.

Going by Super Mario Maker and Super Mario World Randomizer, that's definitely true. But I always enjoy watching them play Mario so I don't mind. I'd rather they play this than a roguelike such as Death Road to Canada.

@@ABurntMuffin I've been binge watching the whole channel from start to finish. Although this particular play through I don't think I've ever watched again since its original airing, so it's all quite fresh to me.
