My kids are both grown now. I have a daughter (23) and a son (17). I remember they were "picky eaters" as toddlers but my pediatrician told me once that children aren't "picky eaters" mentally. Instead, they crave what their bodies actually need in a sort of instinctive way. So, if he is craving cereal it means his body is getting what it needs from cereal. Hence why he "wants" it.
I'm reminded of a quote: "A child can teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires." - Paulo Coelho
Your greatest teacher is right beside you. To him, you have no flaws. No past. No demons or regrets. You're magical and everything. Follow his lead. He'll show you not only how much you are loved but how easy it is to be happy just for the sake of being happy.

Thank you ❤ This comment is the highlight of my week. I have felt that way about his food as well, kind of like I trust what he feels he needs even if it’s not what I think he needs.
