I am a more recent fan (about 2 years I guess). The first Baby Metal song (video) I watched was "Catch Me If You Can" the compilation video. The thumbnail is a semi closeup of a very cute young Yui. I was thinking how can someone so adorable be in a heavy metal group? So curiosity got the best of me and I watched the video. At first I was not sure I was a fan. I am 55 years old and grew up during the height of Heavy Metal in the 1980's. I decided to watch more and more Baby Metal and they grew on me. Now they are one of my favorite groups (along with Nemophila) I do not speak Japanese at all so the lyrics as sung have no meaning for me which just shows how much their music and stage shows are that great. I find it amazing how many different languages I see in the comments for a vocally Japanese band. I guess Music can and does bring the world together! I wish them much success in the future!
