I can’t say for the majority, but it’s usually because a lot of kids are just starting out in the game and they’re not potentially good enough to compete so in case of getting beamed or outplayed, they always have a get out of jail, free card by stemming and running away, but then, on the flipside, as you said, it’s fun, playing him, pushing everything being able to do the movement you desire so fluently
