    If your in the woods you will have some momentum. I used to have a canam 450 and it needed a whole new top end at 3300 kms, i also did sink it, however the foreman 450 I had before was sunk 3 times and was even upside down in a flooded ditch and it has over 8000 miles on it and it still runs great! Honda for the win all day and everyday. Another thing is that Honda’s are way easier to work on then any canam I have ever seen

    • @lorenzopirri778
      @lorenzopirri778 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it shouldn’t need a top end rebuild that early on unless you ran the engine after sinking it. My outlander 570 had 2600 miles and the motor ran like a clock, my outlander 850 has 800 miles and runs just as good. Definitely something you did wrong with it

      Well, BRP didn't start making ATVs until 98 and they weren't called Can-Am until 2007. So... Yeaaaaaaaah. I love how everyone clings to the "It'll last forever" argument with Honda. The only good thing about Honda is they don't have a CVT and they even managed to somehow make that less than impressive. I've never seen a Honda do anything awesome. Actually, I take that back, it is an awesome sight to see my buddy Bobby waiting on us with that glorious cooler strapped to his machine, waiting to give us a cold beer. See, he carries the beer so it doesn't get all shaken up because his Honda won't go through the stuff everybody else does. Long story short, I don't know if you ski or not, but you'd last forever too if you stayed on the bunny slopes.

    When I was a teenager we had 2-wheel drive 3- wheelers, then came 2-wheel drive 4-wheelers. We climbed up everything and hardly ever got stuck! After 34 years experience of operating all kinds of chain and shaft drive machines, if you can't climb it with a 2-wheel drive, you simply don't know how to drive! If you hit a dead stop like this on the trail, just back up and get a few feet run at it, you'll get over it

      @HippiAssaSin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      it's to simulate mud, wet leafs, or what ever would be slick enough to stop three of your wheels from turning, allowing only one wheel with traction to grab. I don't know what kind of riding you do (Seems kinda wussy) but this is related to conditions you could easily find in the fall or spring time let alone winter with slippery snow everywhere. sometimes one wheel grabbing that one spot is how you make it through or over whatever it is stopping you.

    I own a 2018 can am renegade xmr 1000r. Love it,but you can't take away from honda. If you buy a Forman or Rubicon they have a better on demand front locking diffirential system than can am. And if you are out on a hill climbing rocky terrain you will want to be on a honda, grizzly, arctic cat, or king quad with on demand front locking diffirential over any can am. Believe me I know we climb stuff all of the time. Now when it comes to mud can am and polaris has a good front locking system doing it automatically for you. Love the video by the way

  • @buddy8m700

    Dude, I think can am has some really cool, fast and good sounding machines but would go with a honda, why? Well reliability, price, parts, you name it. Plus....if you look closely the can am had a gap in between the tire and the bar. Yes it got over because it had a small running start, the Honda was all the way up against the bar and the dude leaned on the Honda and it came right off. This should actually show the Honda is better but can am....I guess

    • @buddy8m700
      @buddy8m700 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      THE MUD BOGGER yea I did actually otherwise I wouldn't have said it lol. If pay attention, he eases the Honda up to the bar then gets on the gas, the can am, he hits the gas 2 times causing it to bounce of the bar a little bit before he actually stays on the gas. Even with that the can am barely made it over. But I do agree that they need Lockers in the front

    With the Honda just pull the front brake slightly and from the help of the LS in the diff you start to use the brake force from the slipping wheel to drive the traction wheel, that is what I do with my 2017 Honda Rancher 420 4x4 DCT IRS. Note that it’s not a full locking differential it’s just a trick to overcome a traction difference.

He ended up going to yamaha. His can am was impressive when it ran, but he went back to camp way more than the rest of us. Our back to camp trips was flat tires, or something stupid like loose exhaust. His was limp mode due to some sensor that was freaking out. The Honda rancher 420 is better than the POS can am because it last longer and the can am has diff locks to where the rancher does not. PS. If you put a little bit of pressure on the front brake of the rancher the diff locks start to come in and will beat the shhh out of the can am

My neighbor on the other hand bought a can am 1000 and it stays in the shop, and he's an older man in his 70's so I know he's not hard on it. I was able to buy a Outlander 650 brand new for $1000 less than the new Foreman 520. The difference is quality. Can Am isn’t bad quality but I can tell this isn’t going to be one I get 30,000 miles of hard riding out of. It’s comparable to Yamaha, Kawasaki, and better than Polaris. But no Honda. And “clicking” that 4 wheel drive switch is pretty awkward on it when you’re in a pinch. Can Am is definitely got them all in power and handling. But my next will be a Foreman 520.
