Hi Mickey, I have a 14 year old Epson R2880 (a perfect A3+ pigmentprinter on itself)and it started having problems printing. Incidentally, this has happened before on a regular basis. I periodically ran the standard Epson maintenance programs but kept having printing problems. Recently I cleaned my printer completely manually and with care and indeed what a mud of ink there was in my printer. The result of years of borderless printing, so overspray. I never knew this before. Now that my printer has been completely cleaned again, it prints perfectly again, but never again borderless for me. So thank you for your explanation in this video. ps: using also Qimage for 2 years, perfect printing app
Very helpful video, thank you! I recently purchased an ET-8550, which is supposed to be able to print up to 13x19 borderless. I wanted to be able to print at that size but would like to try to avoid some of the pitfalls you've described here. Would a possible semi-solution be to add a very small white border around the edge of a picture and print in borderless mode with expansion on? This way, you could minimize the amount of ink being sprayed off the edge of the page while hopefully still maintaining perfect coverage at the edges. Of course, I would need to figure out exactly how much of an expansion is done to be able to set this up perfectly (if it would even work at all).
Hi, I have this question. I want to print on paper size 11cmx16cm (4.33 x 6.30 in), but I want the print area to be 4 x 6 in. How do I get the top margin to be equal to the bottom margin?
