I have been doing FBA for 3 months now and I would definitely recommend you use larger boxes for UPS. You can put up to 63 x 63 x 63 and the cost is the same as a smaller box. So for your sales you might have saved upto 60/70% on ups fees.

I been doing this for a few months, pretty much made most of the same mistakes as you have, jumping right in to Amazon is the best way to learn 100%. You will soon learn to think outside the box as every man and his dog sources in B&M, HB, TK Maxx etc and when you analyse the deal at the time it may look good but these are national stores & everyone else is doing the same thing so you will end up either in a price war or sitting on stock. Also avoid deal sheets as they look great at the time but same thing happens. You have to find the hidden gems & be a lone wolf in FBA. The gems are there. I have been buying a Video Game for £30 in a national store & selling it for £69.99 on Amazon. I have sold 25 units & not one other person is doing it. Keep it up mate & share more videos :)

The undercutting is just a race to the bottom. The biggest winners are the customer, couriers and of course Amazon.

Learned about undercutting: sell early, other sellers sell your product cheaper and you either have to hold onto the product longer to sell cheaper too and forecasting: people buy lawn water slides in summer.

Just started sending in our own branded goods to Amazon FBA, so will see how it goes! I like the idea of the protection that the Amazon Trademark Registry gives however so no one can copy or piggyback similar items without us being able to take legal or official actions under the laws of infringement/passing off, also important to note we registered designs for our goods to reinforce the protecton, but we sell in a specialised market of goods, now moving into clothing
If you send your stuff to Amazon do you still have to be ungated?
@@whocares5188 Sorry, not quite sure what you mean, if you could elaborate further I can answer that, we obviously have our own brand and registered trademark to ensure Amazon controls the distribution channel so only we sell our own goods, and obviously on eBay it's a case of protecting IP which have found to be very important
@@kitpimpuk7949 I think he means that all beginners are gated (not able) to sell anything. However if you are ungated in a certain category you're able to sell products from that category.

Nice video! What software do you use to analyse sales?
How many units would you say is an ok amount to start with. I had the idea of doing this with computer mice, from the wholesaler they're £1.20 each, minimum order of 100 though. Trying to gauge if that would be a good thing to sell on FBA, say each mouse costs me a fiver in FBA fees and customs duty to get it into the UK if I'm selling the mice for say £10 there's a decent profit to be made on each one. My thought being if you’re not selling the same product as someone else you can charge what you want, but then again I might not sell any if they’re on page 4. Any thoughts?

Good video mate. Any advice on calculating the profit you'll make for each product after all amazons fees? I sold some products with a high ROI but after amazons fees came into play I was losing money so am a bit baffled. Any advice on that would be great!
Use deal analysis software. Put the variables in and you'll know what the profit is before hand.
Once you have the items in hand, do it cost to send them to amazon i.e. for the boxes and bubble wrap? Or do they provide all the necessary stuff?
You have to package it yourself and post it to them, it’s not that expensive if you have lots to send it at once

Might be a dumb question but do you have to take "professional" pictures of you product which will be displayed for customers to see on the website? Just wondering how that aspect works.
The product is already listed on Amazon so you sell on that listing, so no photos or anything needed you just send the product into Amazon
