Sorry, I noticed you removed the styrofoam on the top guard rail. If you notice there are 2 sets of guard rail per set. One with the styrofoam is for the top guard rail so that when the baby hits his head on it, it’s soft. The other guard rail without the styrofoam is for the lower portion.
Can. it has a screw mount which can screw it in the bed. But we dint screw it because the mattress is heavy enough to hold the mount bracket . Currently our baby is strong enough to push the gate so maybe it’s recommended to screw it tho.👍

No but u can choose what type of bed do u want single or queen or king etc
