Why so much hate ? He's actually saving people tons of money , take an old pair of jeans and spice em up a bit. Rather than buying a new pair altogether.
Came here after watching a feminine version of the DIY old ripped jeans tutorial. Good to see various methods before I try with the one that best suits me! Thanks for the upload. Appreciate it!
I'm blue collar and damn near all my jeans and work pants end up looking like this after a few months. Seems kind of lame to buy a new pair of pants and do this to them. But I guess it's the "metro urban" thing to do. Has me shrugging though... Been a fan of the beard stuff for years and beardbrand even inspired me to start making my own beard oil and balm. For that I'm thankful. Beard On guys!
Now this is different!! No one in their wildest dreams could've ever imagined BeardBrand to introduce denim distress videos that too by Carlos.Honestly You people never cease to amaze me..keep up the good work guys. And Carlos I'm a big fan of yours.
White jeans that were brand new with the original tags still on them. $75 jeans like from a mall store. Paid $5. Distressed them, then put cardboard tubes in the legs, scrunched them wrinkled up, and used spray paint. Took them to a laundry mat and washed them. They came out looking like Eddie Van Halen's guitar. Bada**. I get asked all the time, "dude where'd you get those" 🤘😐
Psht, don't tell any secrets from the real mens world or they might come up with some new ways to hype up a trend and make me buy the same stuff i always bought but now for triple the price.
The really funny part for me is seeing the expensive jeans with the laser burns on the thighs. When we drafted a wood fire with newspaper and it caught alight, we always rubbed it against our jeans to put it out without burning our hands. Early distressed jeans were obtained from charity shops and I can only assume that manufacturers now have to use lasers costing a fortune to reproduce the burn effect, when instead they could simply use some burning paper and employ a few workers with calloused hands to rub it out against the denim.
"Hey guys, I make anonymous comments on TH-cam, look how cool and edgy I am!" We are certainly open to feedback and constructive criticism, however your comment does nothing to help us out. We aren't trying to be cool or edgy - we are simply sharing a tutorial of how to distress denim if that's a look you go for. If you think torn jeans look cool, then cool. If you think non-distressed jeans look cool, that's also rad.
I enjoyed this video, but I can see where the hate is coming from. i think it has to do with your merging of the Beardbrand and Urban Beardsman channels. A lot of people come to this channel just for beard and beard product tips. Maybe the occasional hair tutorial. But the more fashion/metro content of Urban Beardsman probably doesn't resonate a lot with a number of viewers who were exclusively on this channel. I enjoy both types of content, so for me personally, the merging of the channels was perfect. Especially since there are really only so many videos you can make about beard care and maintenance before you start repeating yourself. You guys need to find a way to balance the material of both channels in a coherent fashion whether that's by injecting more personality into these types of tutorial videos or maybe just by shaking things up a bit and sometimes leaving the blue room and heading outside into the city (this is about urban culture, after all) to give the vids a more organic feel that's less stale and safe. Maybe throw some rad music on top. These are just some random thoughts. It's easier said than done, I know. But I'm confident you guys will find a way.
megagene Thanks man. Always appreciated your witty comments as well as your level headed ones. I agree that getting out of the studio is a good idea. We've seen success with our barbershop series after all. A key for us is about balancing how we can produce the amount of videos we want to all while running a business. Our goal is to build up a nice queue (one or two months) of videos which will give us time to produce more time intensive projects. it's definitely a priority for us and we will get there. Thanks again for your support!
why are there so many people in the comments that are angry about this video? if you don't like the video but still enjoy the channel and the content they make, the don't watch this one video... it's that simple. maybe some viewers gained something from this even though you didn't. anyways being stylish is interpreted in many different ways; it's all subjective. i don't necessarily like the look of a large beard, kept or unkept, but that's my opinion and i don't bash others for disagreeing with me. i also didn't mind the look of distressing, but again, my opinion. some of y'all need to really calm down.
Why? They most likely wore clothes that everyone else was wearing. Nobody back then really wore anything different. Wouldn't you laugh at their clothing trends?
I actually like this video. Verry nice. And by the way I'm wondering if I should use beard oil on my short 3-4 week beard because I'm having like dead skin and flakes in it.
What I do is that I open a soda can, and that lil flap of metal that you push in, I pull it out to have that sharp corner then just rub the denim with that. It's a lot easier and more manageable
I can’t be the only one confused on how for hundreds of years people strived for shoes and pants free of holes to not freeze in the winter, but here we are in 2018 purposefully ruining a good pair of jeans.
How do you get this naturally. Do you crawl all the time, do you sit on sandpaper or do you fall very often? Cause I have many pairs of jeans for years and they've only faded a bit, nothing else.
Or alternatively you can get the exact same effect by doing a good days manual work then you wont have to pretend you do manual work and you get the added bonus of feeling good about it.......
Not that I agree with them, but lately a lot of comments have been basically saying your (beard brand's) videos have been a bit unnecessary. Listen to your subscribers and your fans guys! If your market is essentially telling you "hey we don't like this", then maybe it's time to change things up for the better and get a little more creative. Personally, I feel the time of this little blue room and a poster is over. You guys need to innovate just a little harder to make sure bead brand doesn't die out (i say all of this a fan and longtime sub!!!)
We love listening to our subscribers and take comments very seriously. That being said there are thousands of viewers who don't comment, like or dislike videos and they are also important. We look into our analytics to see what videos provide the most value, and what videos will help the channel and community grow. Since we started implementing changes (more videos of broad topics) we've seen the channel grow at a rate faster than ever before. We are now adding over 10,000 subscribers per month, and more than million views per month. This happens because we challenge not only ourselves, but also the comfort of our community. Not everyone will appreciate the changes we are making, and we understand that. But we aren't going to stay back, settle, and keep things stagnant to die off like some other channels. We are committed to the community and channel and will always push things forward.
Ok, read what you just wrote. There are thousands of people who deem your videos not likable, they are essentially just "meh" videos. They don't do anything for the viewer. Also, of coarse your sub and viewer rates are going to go up, you are expanding your topics to things that you have no business expanding too! You will attract non-beardsman to a beardsman's channel. if that's what you want, then simply change the channel and it's whole aesthetic! What i'm trying to say is: stop trying to be something you're not! Also rip that shark tank episode haha
