Whomever was on the design team thought of the "usual suspects"... and designed this amp to avoid an easy breakdown. I like it. I hope whomever buys it likes it too.
I had tin foil on my fuse. Also it used to crackle, I'd pick one side up and drop it lightly and it would be good for a bit. I don't know what happened to it but used it for several years.
To a degree, they are. The usually need massive filter caps for holding power to release on the big notes. Its refreshing that some amp companies cater to that. Fender IMHO never really made a great bass amp (for bass) although theres a few that aren't bad.

Sounds like yours had some solder joint issues.
@@DeadKoby oh I am sure of it beer spilled on it, dropped, dimed etc, too bad I didn't have a bass tech or a backup amp.

those old SS power transformers are way better sounding then the new plethora of Class D IMO. Boris the Spider!!!!!
Classic designs are classic for a reason. I know some folks love their class D stuff... I've sold all that passed through.
