Broken Sword 6 will be great. I must say, that thanks to Broken Sword I've started playing point and click games. Broken Sword II was my first game ever on my PC
Love your lists. Always something new. 3 minutes to Midnight, Loco Motive, A Twisted Tale, Theropods, Simon the Sorcerer Orgins, Aboard the Adventure, Splittown, Near Mage, Old Skies, Elroy and the Aliens, The Adventures of the Black Hawk and Randal’s Tuesday to name a few.
Point and click are my fave games, along with strategy like the original Plants Vs Zombie, Rainbow Moon/Shining Force II for example. I adore the Broken Sword and Monkey Island games however I REALLY wish they'd re-release Discworld II Missing Presumed, though I know the chances are very slim lol
@@YakWaxLips it's a shame, I'd love them on the consoles too. Really looking forward to Broken Sword and I wouldn't mind playing the original Dizzy games too, I've seen various videos on them and they intrigue me also, they look good 😊 Thanks for the kind reply 😊🙏🏼
Absolutely stoked for the point and click genre this year! Thank you for taking the time to compile this list, half of which I haven't encountered yet, but the other half I'm already having my eyes on since making their appearances in various Steam festivals.
Thank you very much for featuring Between Horizons! The release date isn't set yet, but it's not very far out if things go as planned. All the best from DigiTales HQ.
Hi Michael, thanks for your videos! Helping to pick the right games for my point and click streams :D Its nice to see how many game developers are still in love with pixel art and point and click
Thanks for the lovely message. Hope that these point and clicks turn out great! I’ve already played Night is Grey and have a spoiler free review on the channel
Just discovered your channel after picking up Hob’s Barrow which has such charm and takes me back to adventure games when I was younger so hoping to discover more through your channel. One thing, on this video, your timestamps are out with the game they describe, they’re named one stamp too late after the first couple.
Happy new year Michael just letting you know what I am currently playing right now I am working my way through Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard I just started it on Sunday.
Was a rather good list, didn't know about most of them. I recently returned to the genre, I just played The Excavation at Hob's Barrow. That was a blast! And last game I played was Dreams In The Witch House, also a blast!
Thanks for making summarization. Our small indie team is making game called "The End of the Sun" It's adventure game and coming soon on 2024. Maybe you'll be interested to mention it in next summarization :) Thanks!
Here are some more. Hand of Glory 2, The Beekeepers Picnic, At the Sea of Madness and Chronique des Silencieux. Clifftop Games are also working on a new game but maybe that comes out next year. And who knows what’s going on with Return of the Amazon Queen.
Twilight Oracle is going to be awesome! Played as beta tester and it's just hilarious. Tachyon Dreams saga was also third person, it's not point&click but text parser (Releasing Tachyon Dreams Anthology soon which is the three games all together with extra stuff 😀 )
Awesome video Michael, thanks! Foolish Mortals looks great. Honestly, there are tons of adventure games I'm curious about too. There's a bunch of stuff on the Switch I'm wondering about. Anyone know if these are any good: Murder Mystery Machine Three Minutes to Eight Cats and the Other Lives Sumire The Rewinder Dance of Death Du Lac and Fey Unusual Findings The Hand of Glory Beacon Pines Lost in Play Cleo a Pirates Tale Mutropolis Tails Noir The Long Reach Unforseen Incidents VirtuaVerse Her Majesty's Spiffing
Some tempting prospects there. I must say, the pixelly stuff does remind me a bit of the "authentic movement" in classical music - where they all insist on playing on antiques as it's "how the composer would have heard it." Doesn't do it for me -- but each to his own! It was the rebooted versions of Monkey Islands 1 & 2 that actually got me round to playing them (and they were great); but I wouldn't ever bother with the originals. And, after playing Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded (probably the top gaming experience of last year for me), I tried the original LLL1 and couldn't stick if for more than 2 minutes - although I'd played it in the 90s and really enjoyed it then! Maybe I'm missing something with the pixelly offerings, but I can't help feeling they're just saving time and money.
That’s an interesting take and I see your point. For me, it’s not even the nostalgic thing, I just love the way that pixels look when done well. That said, I’d play anything as long as the story is strong regardless of Art style.
@@YakWaxLips Yes. Well, you've reminded me of a Debussy quote about "the charm of impossibilities" when writing piano music, so I think I see what you mean! Craftmanship certainly counts, for sure.
Is broken sword reforged adding new content? Or just a remaster?definitely broken sword 6,Primm,I pretty much play, any point n click.I know its not coming this year.but, the adventures of Bryan Scott, the broken sword, clone.U stopped lets plays, what happened?
@YakWaxLips why didn't u include, Prim? The only point n click game to,resurrect is,discworld, rincewind. Do these games really make its money. back?cause u hardly hear about sales of these kinda games.
Last year 0 good games, this year only Baphomet (Broken Sword) - not good years for point n click fans. Mostly all good studios must close in the last 20 years Wat was ther grat tital like Book of unwritten Tales...
Well I would strongly argue that but this list kinda does. Yes the classic series are great and it’s nice to have sequels to them in recent years but new adventure games are plentiful
Broken Sword 6 will be great. I must say, that thanks to Broken Sword I've started playing point and click games. Broken Sword II was my first game ever on my PC
Nice. It is a classic
Thanks so much for including me in this video! Yes indeed, 2024 launch for The Crimson Diamond!
Excited for phantom fellows. Looks a lot like darkside detective!!!
Yes very!
*googles upcoming point-and-click games* ... *finds a wild Michael!* :D
I always knew you were one of the cool ones 🐒
Ha ha are you kidding me. Been doing this for 5 years since covid. How are you?!?

Yeah I’d love the Discworld games too but they’re trapped behind locked doors and red tape and many many legal battles!
Good to see someone is as hyped as I am for "The Night Is Grey". I first learned of it here on your channel!
Yes top of my list! Loved the demo

@@YakWaxLips Thank you!
Cannot wait for The Drifter!
Me neither

Yes can’t wait for that one

@BadLuckLuke
Happy New Year and a petabyte of good luck to you, BadLuck!
Happy New year 🥳
Crimson Diamond looks absolutely gorgeous. Will be stoked when it finally comes out.
Me too. Get the demo if you have time.
Excellent roundup, Michael, thanks!
No problem! 😌

Thanks for watching! I do weekly show with loads more too!’
Can't wait for Broken Sword 6!! I lived on 1 and 2 during my childhood. So many good memories!
Same.
many thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for
Happy new year Michael just letting you know what I am currently playing right now I am working my way through Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard I just started it on Sunday.
Happy new year to you! I never got round to that. I did play the demo. Are you enjoying it?
Happy New year!! 🎉
And to you too. 🥳
Welcome back Michael!!!
Thanks! Good to be back. Lots planned this year
What a brill list!
Happy New Year Yaxywaxybaby. Hope it's a smashing year for you and the channel.
Happy new year!
Stoked to see some Canadian flavor on this list!

Cosmic Void, Crimson Diamond, The Drifter, and Rosewater look like something I might want to play
Thank you!
Happy adventurous New Year! I wonder how many of these will come out this year? I'm gonna be optimistic and say 13 is the lucky number🤞
Optimistic 😆 I’m going to say 5
@@YakWaxLips That might be more accurate based on last year's record!
WoW didn;t even know they were making us a brand new Broken Sword !
Thought the series was over. So want my opinion? HYPED a.f.
HYPE!!!!!!!
The Mermaid's Tongue from SFB games should be coming out this year, and fingers crossed Loco Motive
Nice choices!!I included Loco Motive last year and hope it’s released in 2024!

Recently started Agatha Christie the ABC Murders. Pretty good and nostalgic. Murder on the Orient Express looks awesome. The demos great
Extremely excited for Broken Sword 6!
Broken sword 6 is top of my list. The night Is grey also looked good.👍
I loved the demo of Rosewater, so I cannot wait for that!
I know it’ll be good
Foolish Mortals looking so good! I hope it comes out and it is good!
I reckon it’ll be the back end of the year
Wait, no Harold Halibut? Lovely list, though. Cheers! 😉
It was on last years so left it off 2024.
My no. 1 long long time wishlist is The Last Crown Blackenrock, still hoping... maybe this year... finally... waiting for a decade :-)
I hope Old Skies will come out this year too! Rise of the Golden Idol is a huge surprise :O
I’m thinking 2025 for Old Skies but will have to wait and see
What's the current status of "The mystery of Oak Island"?
Still in development as far as I know

Awesome video Michael, thanks! Foolish Mortals looks great. Honestly, there are tons of adventure games I'm curious about too.
There's a bunch of stuff on the Switch I'm wondering about. Anyone know if these are any good:
Murder Mystery Machine
Three Minutes to Eight
Cats and the Other Lives
Sumire
The Rewinder
Dance of Death Du Lac and Fey
Unusual Findings
The Hand of Glory
Beacon Pines
Lost in Play
Cleo a Pirates Tale
Mutropolis
Tails Noir
The Long Reach
Unforseen Incidents
VirtuaVerse
Her Majesty's Spiffing
Great list! I’d highly recommend Cleo, Hand of Glory and Unforeseen Incidents
@YakWaxLips thanks, I watched your Unforeseen Incidents videos too. Keep up the good work, Happy new year.
Broken Sword 6, can't wait 😀
Same!

Best to chat with Revolution about that. Get them on Discord
@@YakWaxLips thanks. I just bought Cleo a Pirates Tale. It's only £2.20
Casebook 1899 gotta be really heavy.
Probably over 1000 pounds
I wish they would make them for PS5 they seem to be mostly PC...
I missed PRIM.
Very much looking forward to that. I did include it on last years list so left it off this one. The demo was great!
Ps5 release?
Your very own discord!?!?
Your youtube name is just sooo damn hard to remember
Just think of the monkey island scene in the governors mansion
