- This was an exciting haul at Tractor Supply because it was my first time shopping for my first horse Duchess. There were specific horse products that I was searching for, and also browsed around for things I wasn't necessarily there for. Overall, I think they had a good variety of horse supplies, and I was happy with the supplies I purchased. At the end of the video, you'll see Duchess and Finn eating their new snacks. See if they liked them or hated them😅.

The clerk was trying to sell you the full body & neck cover, very pricy at $139 but you needed the rain sheet. Agree that the ball toy is not for a senior citizen horse but you never know.

You can also find brushes that are made for babies or toddlers (humans) and those are extra Soft and work great on the horses face.

I was at tractor supply a few weeks ago for work boots, and was looking at all the animals stuff and I just couldn’t believe how much more expensive they are. I thought they would’ve been a little bit more affordable, but maybe they still are compared to some of the other places that sell Equine stuff.
The other item that I always use for grooming, no matter who’s horse, I’m cleaning, is a towel. They are the best thing to use as your very last step to do a final wipe of the entire horse to get that pesky little thin layer of dust that just always seems to be there on the very surface of their coat, no matter how much you groom them. Towels or rags are great for around the face especially if you want to just do some spot cleaning and then you can dry them with a dry part of the towel as well, and I always start with the face especially the eyes and then the nose and mouth and ears and then the rest of the body. It never hurts to use a little bit of slobber to help get dust off the rest of the horse. I go to savers or the Goodwill and get a bunch of cheap towels to keep in a bag or the car .
That is so true! I do use towels sometimes, the farm has them there for us to use. They do make the horse shine more at the end of grooming😍💞 Thanks!
