Tim has RANGE is an understatement!! lol... All members of HF are so talented, and I love the fact they each get to showcase their talents. Beautiful reaction as always!
I love it when Chance sings a lead part, he's got such a warm tone to his voice and he's one of the hidden gems in HF, he's singing the bass when Tim is singing the lead and everyone forgets about that. I think the two Adams are generally content to sing their parts and definitely enjoy their work, but Austin, Tim and Rob are the extroverts of the group so we just see and hear them more often. One of my favorites is their cover of In the Blood, which is pretty much Chance, Tim and Rob singing the leads, but I think you should go to church first and watch How Great Thou Art which isn't just a good version of the hymn, but I think it's the best version I've ever heard anyone do of it. Eventually, you'll have to also start down the road of their collaborations with legends of country music, Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, and Lee Greenwood among them.
Great reaction! I love watching people's faces when they realize that Tim is singing at the beginning and at Chance's bottom-drop. And Adam Rupp just slays in this one. I second the motion for "Helplessly Hoping." That one is just achingly gorgeous. Also "How Great Thou Art." Both show off their incredible harmonies.
Knowing Tim has a 5 octave range and actually hearing it are 2 different things. So they have 2 basses, 3 baritones, & 4 tenors (5 if you count Adam Rupp when he isn't beat boxing). Top it off with pick a genre and they will do it justice. Talk about talent on loan from Heaven, and we get to enjoy it.
This has not been confirmed by any Home Free member, but I think Adam Rupp can sing baritone as well and I wouldn’t be surprised if he can get into bass range too. I mean we know he can go low doing his didgeridoo and other sound effects, so…
This song is one of my favorites. We usually ask reactors to wait to react to this song till they are familiar with the individual members. Then they are surprised at hearing the switch ups in the voices. Tim who is known for his bass can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original range.
Chance can sing bass also. He does background bass when Tim sings higher or is lead and the other way around. This group is very versatile. Check out "Blue Ain't Your Color" It's mostly Rob leading and Chance also has a part singing too. I think you'll like it.
Your reaction was everything I hoped it would be - that was great! I think you're going to really enjoy their covers of "In The Blood", "Can't Stop the Feeling", and "Take Me Home Country Roads". But, before any of those you have got to hear their rendition of "How Great Thou Art". Thanks Mello. 🍟
You know it was just that kinda day when the bassist says I want to do tenor, the baritone says ok I'll do bass and the high tenor says cool I'll go near dog-whistle range. LOL
Adam Chance was the bass singer for 'Street Corner Symphony' also joined NBC’s reality show “The Sing-Off,” so YES Chance can do bass very well. As GT said below, you need to hear Tim do "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay"... He loops his voice in 5 ranges, very very impressive! TY Mello- So glad watching your reaction to a cappella 👍
I got new headphones recently and this was my first time hearing this through them. I heard so much more of Chance's beautiful bass this time. Woohoo! I don't know how many times I've heard it and I almost always hear something I haven't heard before. Never gets old. And Adam sends me over the moon every time. Wow! And they just posted the From the Vault for this video - a behind the scenes of the filming. You will see them in a whole new light.
Fantastic reaction!🤯 Now you know why we ask reactors to wait until they're familiar with the guys & the parts they play in the group before they watch this video! If someone just reacts to this not knowing that, it ruins the surprise! Tim has a 5+ octave range & Chance was the bass singer in his previous group, Street Corner Symphony. Austin & Rob are amazing & there are no words to describe Adam!👽🤖😲 I've watched this video at least 200 times & NEVER get tired of it. It's still one of my favorite Home Free covers. Glad that it knocked your socks off like it did ours! 🤗&😘from SE Tennessee!😊🎼🎵🎶🎤🎧
Great reaction! This song cover surprises almost everyone who listens to it. LOL I have the perfect suggestion for you to react to next! Since you have not heard much from Chance yet you just have to check out Home Free's cover of Cover Me Up which in this one Chance sings the lead and does a beautiful job with it. Also there is a pretty cool video that goes with it with a surprise at the end of it. But only watch this one IF you want to be blown away again by them! I have been a "Home Fry" now for two years and they are still my favorite group out there! It is nice to see others appreciate Home Free for their talent, sense of humor and just the genuine appeal of each member and what they bring to the group! Happy listening!
I always love it when reactors listen to Home Fries and wait for this one a little. Loved your reaction! Yes this group always shocks and amazes. Aren't they all just awesome?! For more songs where Chance sings a lot of the lead check out Folsom Prison Blues, Cover Me Up, Brothers In Arms, Hillbilly Bone good blend of Tim and Chance, and Brother is a good blend of a few. I really like Chance's voice. But I love them all!
This is one of their best without a doubt. I adore Chances voice. I would recommend Yours, Cover Me Up, and One Man Band. The first 2 songs feature Chance exclusively.
Adam Chance did a Collab with husband / wife singing group, The Hound + The Fox. The song is "Wayfarin' Stranger". Adam brings the bass! Adam also did Johnny Cash's "Hurt" with Them . Enjoyed your reaction!
Wasn’t that fun?! We appreciate you listening to us about the song. It’s a bit of a switcheroo and often reactors don’t know them and will listen and say Tim is a nice tenor and we have to say no, he’s the bass! It’s just showing off Tim’s range. He really can sing in the tenor range and Chance is showing us some of his bass range. They’re all so good. Fun arrangement and I like this better than the original. And yes, Adam is crazy good. Good reaction Mello!😄
Want a wonderful harmony? Try Home Free's version of "Helplessly Hoping". And yes Tim has great range. Love when he goes low and it reverberates in my chest. Awesome!
Tim does have a 5-octave range. He has done some solo work. Check out Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay and Since I don' Have you. Love your reaction!
I've been waiting for you to get to Mayday and it didn't disappoint. We Home Fries appreciate you listening to us and waiting until you knew them better before getting to Mayday. Thank you.
Wow, I am so glad you waited to get the full effect of this surprising song. What is interesting is that Tim, Austin and Rob sang this song in the same key as the female singer Cam who recorded this song originally. Have you seen Blue Aint Your Color yet? The boys dance!
Mayday has been on the top of my Home Free list since the first time I heard it, although it may actually drop a spot or two with the songs from their new album So Long Dixie. You should check out the From the Vault series, especially since they released the behind the scenes of Mayday. They always make me laugh at their antics. They're just such a fun group of extremely talented guys. 🍟❤️
No disrespect to all of the other great A Capella groups out there, but IMHO, Home Free (both collectively & individually) is the most versatile Vocal Band on the planet!!! Mic-Drop!!! 🎤
yep chance can also drop the bar :D he used to be bass in the previous group he was in. Thats why on some songs you hear tim sing with a bass line under it thats chance :). and on some songs tim is singing bass and chance is guitar bass. and all 5 of the guys can go tenor :P (end of the road) for example
Mello, I've loved your reactions to Tom Mc Donald and others who I also love, but when I saw you falling in love with Homefree who have been my obsession since discovering them 3 years ago ,Isubscribed knowing you are a kindred spirit. The ride never gets old.
Hi Mello! Great reactions. If you want to hear more of Adam Rupp's beatboxing check this out Home Free: Drum Solo [SPM ST15]. And if you want a real surprise take a listen to this Home Free - 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown, October 27, 2015. My son and I went to see them live in PA and they are just as good live as they are in their recordings.
So nice to have chance in the group now it gives Tim The freedom to Sing in his upper Tenner voice While chance holds down the base. Chance was in the group called street corner Symphony Where he was the base for that group.
If you want to hear Tims range, check out his personal channel "Will you still love me tommorrow/Stay" Or if you just want to hear him go high "Since I don't have you"
Now that you've reacted to mayday and get it you are ready to react Tim Foust on his channel (will you still love me tomorrow/stay). Love your redactions girl
Hello from Sweden 👋 Like your reactions, Mello ! Tim's vocal range is...whoa...5 octaves at least !!! And...Chance...OMG I just love and adore Home Free ❤❤❤
LOL..loved the reaction! I see your enjoying your ride with Home Frees TALENT! Might I suggest Home Free- "LISTEN TO THE MUSIC" NEVER HEARD a bad cover or original! peace
Tim and Chance both have 5 + octave ranges and they have come in handy. Their talent is absolutely amazing! If you would like to hear mor of Tim's range you might try one of his older songs that he recorded.."I can't help falling in love with you". Hint...keep some tissues handy.
Singing their butts off? In that case, if you haven't yet, check their Butts Medley, it's funny and cheeky ALL at the same time! (I'm glad to see you've reacted to their cover of End of the Road already)
If you have time maybe you could squeeze in one song from Tim's solo album, his first solo music video release has been my favorite so far. I'm enjoying your home free reactions, thanks for taking the time to do them! ✌️❤️
They chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer. Just proves their lack of having a female in the group is no detriment--they just let their BASS handle it! 🤣 LOVE the versatility of our amazingly talented fellas!! 🥰. Every member of Home Free could absolutely be a solo ⭐ star ⭐ but their harmonies together are MAGIC!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Voice Play has a song that was a men's collaboration from 2020 called Just Sing. When you watch it, turn on your subtitles - the guys had some fun introducing everyone and how they connect. Think you'll like it cause you really get to see how connected the acapella universe is.
Excellent reaction, loved your face when Chance hit the low. Chance has a lovely rich voice, please listen to Uptown Funk by Street Corner Symphony (Chance was their bass then).
They did this in the same key as Cam, the female artist...so glad you waited. One of the reactors thought it would be really good to react to it live, but in the live phone video, you couldn't tell who was singing.
How freeing for whoever arranges any song to have 5 tenors, 3 (4? I don't know Adam's low end) baritones, 2 basses and 5 beatboxers! And, as I recall, Cam's version was in this same key, so they didn't sacrifice the sound for a lower (male tuned) key, either.
Please do My Church and Ring of Fire 😁😁 loving your Home Free journey! Also, Chance has the bass line whenever Tim is singing lead. He used to be the bass for Streetcorner Symphony.
Tim has a 5 octave range. Chance is actually a bass but he sing baritone most of the time. Anytime Tim has a lead Chance takes the bass line. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song and the guys.
Now that you have heard this and you see Tim's range I will tell you, you aint seen nuttin yet honey try Tim's release of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow trust me you won't believe your ears lol
Tim Foust - "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay" will really blow you away with what Tim is capable of.
❤️💯
Came to recommend this song too!
Me too
I can't wait for you to react to Helplessly Hoping and Brothers in Arms.
The way Chance looks down and then up when he sings.... oh my it sets this 58 yo;s heart to fluttering!
Tim has RANGE is an understatement!! lol... All members of HF are so talented, and I love the fact they each get to showcase their talents. Beautiful reaction as always!
Tim Foust is said to have a five octave vocal range. And able to sing in both bass and tenor. Home Free just always excels at their craft.
He´s working on the 6 and Chance has 4 octaves going for the 5
To hear Chance, listen to "Helplessly Hoping". You'll actually hear each member distinctly, but the beginning showcases Chase and it's beautiful.
If you are liking Chance, He leads I Can't Outrun You. He also directed the video. Glad you found Home Free the Fries are loving your stuff!
It definitely gave me a greater appreciation for Chance's vocal abilities.
I Can’t Outrun You is a MUST re Chance. Also, Some Girls Do.
I love it when Chance sings a lead part, he's got such a warm tone to his voice and he's one of the hidden gems in HF, he's singing the bass when Tim is singing the lead and everyone forgets about that. Adam Full drum solo that will blow her hair back!
Great reaction! I love watching people's faces when they realize that Tim is singing at the beginning and at Chance's bottom-drop. And Adam Rupp just slays in this one.

Hi Mello, Mayday by Home Free is the "BOMB!!!" Thanks for this reaction...Well done!!!

Yes, the BTS of this video is hilarious, but then so are all their BTS videos 😂
Chance has a beautiful airy voice . To hear more from him .isten to Brothers in arms.
Fantastic reaction!🤯 Now you know why we ask reactors to wait until they're familiar with the guys & the parts they play in the group before they watch this video! Hard to believe 5 guys can sound this good and this arrangement is amazing
If you like the flow and sound of this one, check out “Love me like that”. Austin Brown wrote it. It’s one of my favorites
Great reaction! This song cover surprises almost everyone who listens to it. LOL I have the perfect suggestion for you to react to next! My Maria is on Austin’s channel. It features Tim and Austin, and is so, so good!! I hope you will react to it.
Another masterpiece from the boys!!
You’re fast becoming one of my favorite reactors! Really enjoyed this.
Adam Chance did a Collab with husband / wife singing group, The Hound + The Fox. The song is "Wayfarin' Stranger". Adam brings the bass!
Adam also did Johnny Cash's "Hurt" with Them .
Enjoyed your reaction!
For a real shock about Tim's range listen to him and Austin sing "My Maria".
That's the reaction we want to see for Mayday! One of my favorites.
Almost unfair, the sheer amount of talent these men possess. Thankfully they share it with us 😊 ❤❤
Wasn’t that fun?! We appreciate you listening to us about the song. I've been waiting for you to get to Mayday and it didn't disappoint. We Home Fries appreciate you listening to us and waiting until you knew them better before getting to Mayday. Thank you.
If you want a good idea of Tim's upper range react to his solo song "Will You Still Love Me/Stay". They are so talented.
Wow, I am so glad you waited to get the full effect of this surprising song. What is interesting is that Tim, Austin and Rob sang this song in the same key as the female singer Cam who recorded this song originally. Have you seen Blue Aint Your Color yet? The boys dance!

Rob and Chance sound beautiful in "Blue ain't your colour "
No disrespect to all of the other great A Capella groups out there, but IMHO, Home Free (both collectively & individually) is the most versatile Vocal Band on the planet!!! Mic-Drop!!! 🎤
One of my favorites! Thanks for appreciating it with us!!❤❤
Chance sings lead in Some girls do. And Cover me up and it has a surprise at the end.

These guys are AMAZING

Love it ,they all sound great ❤️

Chance has a 4 octive range , pretty good ain't it
If you have time maybe you could squeeze in one song from Tim's solo album, his first solo music video release has been my favorite so far. I'm enjoying your home free reactions, thanks for taking the time to do them! ✌️❤️
now you see why i suggested you wait till you had a few home free songs reviewed before doing this song
They chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer. Just proves their lack of having a female in the group is no detriment--they just let their BASS handle it! 🤣

Tim's voice in this! 🙉🙉🙉 so beautiful! I knew he had a 5 octave range, i just hadn't heard any of it yet.
You should definitely check out some of Tim's solo work. You'll absolutely love his music.

Agreed. Great song and great video
It's a really fun video, but yes, subtitles. Always watch the subtitles if VoicePlay has provided them
Excellent reaction, loved your face when Chance hit the low. Chance has a lovely rich voice, please listen to Uptown Funk by Street Corner Symphony (Chance was their bass then).

Please do My Church and Ring of Fire 😁😁 loving your Home Free journey! Also, Chance has the bass line whenever Tim is singing lead. He used to be the bass for Streetcorner Symphony.
Tim is awesome
Tim has a 5 octave range. Chance is actually a bass but he sing baritone most of the time. Anytime Tim has a lead Chance takes the bass line. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song and the guys.
Have you done their cover of Helplessly Hoping? It’s amazing!!
This is unique bc Tim and Chance kinda change up. Incredibly talented.❤️
Check out their song “My Church”

Home Fries/HOG Army requests:
Listen to the Music
Country Roads
Hillbilly Bone
I love this group, if you watch the video closely, Tim isn’t singing any bass in this one
Tim has well over 5 octaves
You will find out that Chance and Tim are very close the same range.
How about that song?! Thanks!
