In Memory of Jezzebel

- July 2007 a baby cat came into my life. July 22, 2024 she left it. 💔 Jezzebel proved me wrong about cats, she taught me about being a pet mom, and being single- she was the heartbeat in my home that cared about my existence the past 17 years. There for me through my teaching career, my resignation, the loss of my grandma, my move to Florida, relationships and friendships that have come and gone, injuries, accomplishments, and transitions aplenty. She’s been such a sweet part of my life and I am grateful to have been her mama. I guess making this video is my way of grieving her and remembering our story together. Love you little girl.

What a beautiful tribute to a lovely kittie who was clearly loved by you. Through all the moves and life changes, she was right there next to you, your faithful companion. Aly, I cried when I watched your video on Jezzebel and I really am so sorry for your loss. Jezzebel looks so much like my fur friend Tatá. The same colors and revealing eyes. I live alone with him here in Rio. People often tell me that I should adopt a second cat but I'm afraid I'm not up to the task. But now seeing you and how Jezzebel felt having a companion made me ponder over the question of adopting another cat. I live in a small studio. Would it be better for all of us? I'm a newbie with cats too so you understand my reticence. I wish you all the good things in this world. Jezzebel was loved deeply. She sure had a great life. Thank you for inspiring us all...

I got a second cat thinking Jezzebel would be happy, but she was actually furious lol The two cats never really bonded with one another. There was jealousy and competition between them and it took about two years for them to coexist “nicely”. You have to listen to your gut… friends will always suggest to get another. Shoot, friends will suggest you take them all home! 😂 If you have a small space and a great relationship with Tata… I say stick with that! I have a small space as well and will be keeping my other baby as a solo kitty.
