Daryn S hi did you try check other connections. I had other mondeo it had water inside and connection was bit rusty and just because it was rust power was not coming.
Dalasplus I had 12volt power to that plug you pushed in. I done an LED mod on in a couple of days ago and added two extra side lights to it. I'll give you the link

yeah I checked, the connections were dry and their was a good 12volt supply, it been powering the LED strip I put in place no problem
