Can I also say I absolutely loooved your concealer spreadsheet!! Thanks for putting that together, it’s sooooo helpful!! I’m now getting more into makeup and at 47 all your tips are amazing!!
You are my answer to foundations. I tried a sample of the Guerlain but it was not for me. Then I got the Chanel Water-Fresh Tint that you weren't 100% on but I love it. Would appreciate a foundation Friday of the Chanel Water-Fresh Touch that is supposed to be a higher coverage. So happy to see that you did all these videos so that I can watch you much more oftenl.
It’s a pleasure to take time out of my day to spend with you…😁Haus Labs rocks, I think it’s become my new HG💜 An it’s cruelty free which is a big thing in my book…
I have to tell this to all dry skin people. I apply my foundation with a makeup remover plush and :✅ it doesn't dry out my skin ✅ I have the MOST FLAWLESS skin ever ❤ I tried this the other day when I realized that the dumped sponge dried out my fingers (you know the effect of water when you get out of your bath and the water sucks out your fingers - if this is the correct expression in English). Anyway, I told myself, if the sponge does this to my fingers, then it's the same to my face and this may be the reason that my makeup looks dry. I was correct. The dry makeup remover plush did wonders ❤. You would think it soaks up lots of product, but not at all. I apply the foundation in dots on the face then I tap tap with the plush. Same for the concealer. 😊
Thank you so much for all your hard work!!! I ALWAYS use your links! We have similar skin & taste in coverage & I always love your foundation reviews. I love the NARS but now & have my card out & going to try the Guerlain! ❤ Gonna check out the spreadsheet!! One of the things I would like to see is your take on setting & finishing powders to go with the foundations.
Unfortunately, the Guerlain has a high content of alcohol, so it's a no no from me. I cannot find a good matching colour in the Nars one. I will try the Haus Lab one. I love your foundations reviews, they are the best.
We are a perfect shade match. Same Guerlain shade, Haus Labs, etc. what Nars shades do u wear throughout the year? I wear Yukon 2.5 in winter but can’t decide what my summer etc shade would be?
The Guerlain, gets compared often to the Shiseido Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation, you gave an A, from a couple years ago. Would you say they are similar?
@goow Thank you so much for getting back to me! Nor sure if you need any content ideas, but, If you get a chance, would love to see a Foundation Showdown of the 2!
Great video! Thanks for trying the guerlain Teracota foundation! I was very unclear about whether it’s drying- your review video is very helpful. Can you please try the Givenchy skin caring foundation? It seems lovely, but I wonder how it compares to these two.
Shelly, the Yensa foundation, is it offered in different undertones. I have the Saie foundation. It's super nice. As well as their liquid highlighter. I've not tried the Haus Labs foundation. I've heard mixed reviews, but always trust yours. I used to love Nars foundations. How I wish that they were a cruelty free brand. Are you wearing the Yensa now? Your Skin looks amazing! Have a scone for me❣️🩷😋
LOVED this video… as always!!! Did you try out the Rituel De Fille 3 Drop Foundation yet? Or the Danessa Myricks Skin Tint? I would absolutely love to hear you thoughts on both of those!!! Hope you are enjoying Ireland!!!
Loving the eye look! While you're over on our side of the pond, could you maybe try out a foundation from a brand that's more popular here in the UK? Something like Rimmel? No 7? Maybelline? L'Oreal? Often we can't get our mitts on the ones that score well (apart from the higher end ones, that is) so that would be fab for us Euro/UK viewers.
Thank you for another great video. I would love to try the NARS but cannot fine a match. The tones are all quite yellow/warm. Or at least they pull that way on me. Love your eye look. Very pretty!
Thank you for the review! I love the Saie glowy one! I need to try the Nars again. I used a sample and wasn’t impressed. Guess I need to buy it and try it out. I did not like the Haus. Seemed to dry my skin. You’re awesome!
Hi Shelley it's funny how different things work for different people. I tried a sample of the Nars and didn't like it - looked dry/cakey on me and the shade wasn't great (the lightest shade was too dark). I did just buy a new foundation though. I went foundation shopping several weeks ago in Edinburgh and swatched probably around 50, coming home with several samples to try on my actual face. Of all of that the winner was the Givenchy glow and that's what I bought (shade N080) - I'm really happy with it. Now it may be due to environment and skintype, but here in Scotland with my 51 year old, fully menopausal, extremely dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin this looked the best of everything I tried. Now that we're in Summer if I lightly powder it lasts all day, but in the cooler weather I won't need much powder at all and it still lasts well on me. It's not huge coverage, but it looks like skin that's more evened out/prettier and (with a bit of corrector underneath in areas) cancels out the redness from my rosacea pretty well. I'm a medium coverage person, so that may also impact what works best for me. I think you may like it better in the colder months as you're not as dry as me, but I remember you liked it well enough in your review (I think anyway). Best wishes.
I don't know why the guelaine didnt work for me 😭 I ran to get it after you reviewed ,then slow walked it right back. I wish I could have gotten a sample.
Here are all of my favorites that don't dry me out (though some may have denatured alcohol - but if they do, they have enough moisturizing ingredients to counter any dryness for me). th-cam.com/video/K1ncYBk7tQo/w-d-xo.html
I’m currently vacationing in the Bahamas and struggled with which foundation(s) to pack. Being from So California, I’m not used to humidity so I wasn’t sure what would work in this climate. Ultimately, I brought my workhorses EL DW and EL DW Sheer (both in 1C1 cool bone! 🙃). I can go from sheer daytime coverage to fuller night time coverage. They’ve both been great! I’m going to try the Guerlain as soon as Sephora has a sale/discount offer! You’ve sold me on it! Wishing you continued safe travels, Shelly! Xx
I don't grab it as often as these but yes! It still lives on the vanity (once it gets moved to a drawer, it's out of rotation - I need to see it to wear it lol).
I have always loved your reviews since I’m a absolute desert 🌵 no matter if it’s summer or winter I’m always dry. I do have one question, I wanted to ask how your feeling about the Westman Atelier water drop foundation? I know your original review said it was nice, however was is nice enough for you to keep it close so you can continue to use this and enjoy the product or was it easily replaced by one of these Fav? Thanks you so much
I forgot about Yensa!
It’s Shelly! Yay! 😊
Hey, Shelly, Foundation Lady on YT lists you as one of her 5 favorite Tubers. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Can I also say I absolutely loooved your concealer spreadsheet!! Thanks for putting that together, it’s sooooo helpful!! I’m now getting more into makeup and at 47 all your tips are amazing!!
Yay Shelley! 👍🏻👍🏻
You beat me to it today! 😃

Can you do a review of the SheGlam full coverage foundation balm?
Added to my list!!
Please review the Maybelline super stay skin tint.

I need to give that NARS a try.
Did you take Sherlock with you? 🔎🤪 Have a great time in Ireland! 🇮🇪☘🧚♀
I definitely should have! lol
I could not get the Haus Labs to work for me! 😢

I really love this cut and colour on you!
Try the maybelline skin tint!!!
Hope that you are having fun whilst across the pond to the old sod! Wish I were there! 💚☘️🍀☘️💚

Shelly, I *love* your blush/bronzer/highlight combo!!! Perfection!
I didn’t know you have a spreadsheet. That makes my accountant heart so happy 😄
I loooooove spreadsheets!!! I was an accounting major for a hot minute in college :)
I tried two of these😅

Grateful for the foundation spreadsheet! So helpful, thank you.
Shelly, what shade do you wear in the Haus Labs foundation?
Thank you for this question. I was wondering too because I’m usually the same shade as Shelly. 😃
I saw on the separate Haus Labs review video she is in shade 130 😊
@@LeenaBambina thank you!

Definitely similar in finish and weight and wear! I think the Guerlain is a little more smoothing on me.

Hi Shelly 🙋🏻♀️
Maybe you could try the Avène Sun High Protection Tinted Compact SPF50. ❤
Shelly, Have you tried the Espoir Pro tailor foundation? I'm hearing good things
I haven't! Added to my list!
Hello Shelly! I knew you were talking about the Haus Labs foundation when you said you werent impressed with anything else the brand had made.

They have neutral, warm, and cool, but not a hugely extensive range.
@@goow thank you! ❤️
Thanks for the info!! I’ve heard so much about the Terracotta one, but price tag has kept me from trying it.., but sounds like I should!!
You are my dry skin go to girl!

Not yet but I moved them to the top of my to-buy list!
Mix the Nars and Guerlain together... my favorite foundation combo of all time!
I think my head might explode! lol my 2 favorites!
What shade in the NARS and Guerlain do you wear?
I've got Yukon and Vienna in the NARS and 2C in the Guerlain!

What shade are you in haus labs? I’ve tried like 3 different shades, I CAN NOT find a match, and we are similar in skin tone.
130 Light Warm! (They name theirs similar to the way MAC does). It's a really good match for me.
How does the Saie compare to Mac face and body foundation (new version)?
I think the Saie has a little more coverage but the Mac has a little more staying power, but both are good!
I refuse to buy anything until I’ve consumed all your media lol
Oh wait. Exfoliating body scrub please?🎣
