Honestly shellos was really easy for me I don't even have an east sea on but it looks so clearly off that I feel like I would have noticed how weird it looks if it was real. But that bonus was tough I have all of the shiny lake guardians and I still got it wrong

Got it 100%! The Gen 4 games are the ones I spend the most time hunting in, so I didn't have much trouble lol. I almost got tripped up on 13 but I couldn't see anything wrong with the other three, so I just guessed Togekiss on a whim since I always get the blue and red places on it mixed up.
You know I’m glad Magnezone came up twice. The first shiny I ever caught was a Magneton in New Mauville in OG Ruby, and after I transferred it to Diamond I KNEW it had all black magnets. When you showed the one with R/B magnets I thought I was crazy lol.
The second noki said that its gonna be easy if you're a flying type fan on the first hard one i knew that staraptor is gonna be there. And i knew that he would mess up its blue emo hair thingy since any other change would be too noticeable.
The Gen 4 shinies are sooo iconic, I could pick out what was wrong because I knew the right ones - whereas in Gen 3 I could more easily pick out a fake.
I got all the real questions but that type less arkoos was very sneaky but I am happy to have won this quiz especially for never having played a game that had sprites so I think I have very good knowledge for games I never played
gen4 was where i hyperfixiated on shiny hunting, and we see them so often that I didn't get tricked on any of the questions. I got Togekiss just cause I had to study the pattern changes due to Arceus where I now have 4 shiny togekisses lmao. I will definitely say though, it can be kinda easy to tell which ones are wrong by looking at the shading/tonal shades of the edits. So if you worked on those a bit more, it'd make it even harder! (as an artist I can definitely pick up on the clashing shading so its almost a cheat for me on some of these if I'm not 100% on them)
The Shellos question sure was something for my head. I've been trying to reclaim shiny East Sea Shellos for years and so the dark green underbelly felt so...wrong. Like, managing to feel uncomfortable wrong which hasn't ever happened to me before. Didn't realize the belly was the uncomfortable part until the original shiny was shown but still, guess that says how one part can be a big change.
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but for Mismagius's shiny, you can see a slight editing error with the gem where its sliggghhhtly cut into on the right side which gave it away for me when I was looking close because it wasnt smooth circular..like, it had jagged bits lol

A little surprised there was no trick Garchomp question for one of the sprite questions since that was when shiny Garchomp was actually impossible to tell (before anyone says anything or asks, yes. I think Garchomp has had a really noticeable shiny since the jump to 3D models and still gets way, way too much hate for what they did to him in Gen4 & 5)
You, Tos, and Mimic, should do a minigame where 2 people use the synchronize pokemon option and pretend to be a pokemon, and they have to switch pokemon every 120 seconds without getting caught
I got 12/14!! I knew Togekiss by HEART! I have always wanted that shiny. The subtleness really adds a lot for me... I didn't even consider the others.. The bonus, though...
The thumbnail reminds me when I used rare candies from an action replay to level a caterpie up to level 100. I then took to the GTS and traded that Caterpie for a shiny Japanese Palkia that I'm pretty sure someone was trying to dupe.
That Magnezone was a real curveball. 😒 In my mind, I remember being disappointed with Magnezone's current model because we don't see the colours. But I guess the shiny -as opposed to the regular sprite- was already weird back then. Well played.
If you are color blind, like me, I have created a color-blind card that you can use anytime you know what the shiny looks like but are unsure if it is a different color or not. For example, if you guessed someone other than Gliscore for question 5 but you say he looks a bit off-colored, that gives you the point because you had a suspicion but can't tell the difference.

(Edit: it was my second shiny I randomly got from a massive mass outbreak in Legends Arceus in the short amount of time I played it after finishing the story, the first one being a shiny Grotle)
I only got the sprite bonus wrong. I was stuck between magnezone and electivire because electivire is more vibrant in sprite form and because of the magnet scandal. I knew you'd be crazy enough to swap out the blue and red, I'm so happy aboit this one (and I also know about this red and blue Magnezone magnets being different in sprite form because I sprite for Infinite fusions, and the colors appear only in the animations)
Anyway the Mismagius was incredibly evil, I've hunted for the shiny, multiple times, and that gem is not bright red, but you chose a misleading color, very evil
