I would suggest the Seattle Symphony recording (Gerard Schwarz conducting) as a good reference. Definitely slower! Alan Hovhanness was present for that recording. Very beautiful!
@@thomashayes3726 Gerard Schwarz's two recordings, with Seattle and his All Star Orchestra, are 4:49 and 4:46, respectfully. Above with organ is 4:58 (5:08 total time, music begins at :10). I've performed it live with Maestro Schwarz and he does it beautifully, and he definitely keeps it flowing. My CD recording from the early 1990s with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra is 4:41, conducted by Richard Auldon Clark - both CD recordings, Mr. Schwarz and Mr. Clark, enthusiastically endorsed by Mr. Hovhaness.
So wonderful. Thank you both.
Lovely, thanks. I got to hear this organ for the first time last week. Hoping to return ...
Beautiful! Thank you!
Too fast! Don't think the composer want it played that fast! Listen to Rolf Smedvic!
