Glad I found your channel, Keith. You were my tutor at college back in 2003/2004 when i was far too immature to appreciate music and my instrument properly. Love your channel, you're one of the best teachers out there.
Thank you! It's actually quite difficult to achieve. I like to have a full, round sound and that doesn't always transfer to being audible on many devices. The sound you are hearing in this video is just my bass with a little top end rolled off and no processing. It's just me and the bass. I sometimes use a little bit of light compression, but that's just to help it being heard on smaller speakers.
Great lesson and a wonderful 'bouncy' bass line that can probably be used in many songs - at least some of the phrases and runs can be. Many thanks for all your work!
Thanks Keith. I think you have just about the most disciplined fretting hand I've seen.....
@@LennyG-TPFL Wow, thank you Lenny. That’s a huge compliment 🙏 I worked hard on it for a long time.
Thank you. Great lesson.
@@Jotanery Cheers!

@@dan-hazlehurst Thanks Dan, I remember you. Your comments are very, very kind 👍
Nice to actually be able o hear the bass, most videos lessons I struggle to hear over the drums and guitars in backing tracks

I love it. Great lesson, great breakdown of one of the great basslines of 1984, played by the brilliant Nathan East. Fantastic stuff, Keith.
☺
Great masterclass Keith. Thanks again.
Thanks Evan👍
I love this bass line. Great lesson, you're a really good teacher! That octave run is mega.
Thanks, I love it too!

Very good lesson and very good taught, thank you!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 👍
In your workbook bars 5-8 you show a slide into/pull-off of C#. I know you meant C (b3rd).
@@LennyG-TPFL 🤔I need to put that right!
Should be slide into C (b3) and pull-off from C#. That's been amended👍
