Based on those specs you'd expect the Sony to get louder because its power is only driving the two full ranges and the passive radiator assists efficiency, where the Soundbox XL's passive radiators only help the sub and less power is going to the fulls. The Soundbox's dedicated subwoofer though will extend the low end a lot further because that's what its made to do.
using expensive equipment and all, the bass on the Doss sounds superior on this video and the Sony sounding bit quieter and less bass just a tiny bit ;)
Real talk Sony have two drivers while doss have 2 plus 1sub equal 3drivers so unfair but still can't beat the Sony, even the bose and jbl when it comes to performance within the battle must have the fairness on there sizes, number of driver and wattage by itself.

Sony for outside - Louder, more sturdy, boosted sound. Doss for indoors - Linear, natural bass response, higher quality sound but not as loud as XB-40.

Короче понятно,левый и правый динамик от низких частот отключены в схематехнике,и за них один НЧ динамик проигрывает за левый и правый канал,а значит разделение по каналам низких частот нет.Не меломанам пойдёт.
Well the sony is quite alot better than the doss in almost every way but the amount of power it has is only 2 watts less the doss has weak treble and strong bass and the mids are there but not very good The sony has good bass good treble the mids are there but its just not as loud as the doss but it has longer battery life ipx5 ratting and a quite a bit lighter and overall has a good look to it, but i would say the doss looks better
