Just a tip: If you're concerned about your lights being stolen just use Loctite 271 permanent tread fix on the upper screw letting loose enough to be able to adjust it with the lower screw, and just give to the thread a little spot of weld on the screw that fix it into the bumper, just enough to the nut don't come off. I did both cuz in my country people just steal every single thing they can.

For another $150 you could’ve gotta two Diode Dynamics SS5’s with more output and better everything all around. Also, try and purchase around their sales. Usually 15% off for sales. An sometimes free shipping. But overall I agree, we can’t afford thousands in lights lol #brokeAF
I disagree, I have a set of those. Had 1 burn out on me already, they were just OK as far as light output. Definitely would have wanted more for the money. The build quality on them is just a hair better than a lot of the cheap amazon led pods. So no I dont agree with this statement at all. Im actually looking at these lights because I dont see the point in spending the extra money when Im not seeing the equivalent in money spent and quality and performance given.

And build quality barely better than Amazon pods? The same ones that get water and condensation in them from fog? Meanwhile all the DD lights on my quad get completely submerged under mud and water and work fine….yea ok

I see the link for the 3-pin connectors, but can you add more info on the DIY wiring harness? I have (3) lights on order. I'm far from an electrician. Trying to figure out fuse size, if relay needed, and 2 or 3 position switch. Thanks for any help! And great Vid!
I have the same lights on my gladiator and I accidentally dropped one that was sitting on the roof while I was installing them, I have concrete floors and woooow to my surprise she was totally fine and it worked as intended, not even a crack on the glass nothing, excellent product 1 year later she's perfect

These will cut through dirt/fog really well, so bumper position is better. If you aren't worried about dirt/fog get the white light version.

I have these... Sorta. I have a set from a different brand. Mine Do Not have the full halo type illumination. Mine do have the left and right bar and the logo illumination. But my reflectors are larger as there is no empty space around mine. Mine are in all white, I have taken them apart and made the daytime running portions yellow. and then installed clear protectant film over the lens, then put them all back together. I am in Canada, and have found them as low as $44 each. So I also own 4. And Ill probably get two more. They have been amazing!

I have three sets on my Gladiator that didn't even last 3 months before they started to sweat and condensate. That leads to the reflective Chrome to turn black
Spend 5 minutes taking the lens off and running a bead of silicone along it…then reinstall

I always wire in doubles. So 2 of the lights are tied together in pairs. Then those are tied together to go into one wire.

Great review! I'm the same way, I just can't justify spending that much for the popular US brand. I'm happy with my lights for over 2 years now and they haven't failed me.

Anytime brotha - good! No complaints. No problems, still work after hours of DRL , etc. Will buy more of them

They have been great. I took them off because switching to a Baja Designs setup in the bumper. Never had a complaint though!

So I just purchased a set of these Amber lights. I’m curious if you’ve ran into any issues with condensation in the light housings? I’ve read in the reviews on these particular lights that this may occur.

They look great I see the video is from two years ago how are your lights holding up yes I just bought a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport and there is a pair of fog the name says Colight They are from China but they resemble 3 inch fog lights from Diode Dynamics and Baja Designs

And the box says IJDM Toy Lights
And when you scroll down to look at the specs on the lights on Amazon that’s the name that was on there and on eBay but anything I buy I buy it off of Amazon because you have certain amount of time you can send them back and watching some videos on TH-cam one guy received a pair of the fog lights and they’re really nice from what everybody says his were a little scratched up so somebody probably bought them and put them on their vehicle scratch them up a little bit and then send them back they just re-sold them
But I really like the lights you have Definitely the larger lights like you have are very expensive depending on which company you go to the ones that are made in China I just always buy everything on Amazon
For fog lights, buy the quality stuff.

Great video, I have that Randy Ellis designs bar on my 2022 power wagon. I have 6 in rigid industries 360 series lights, backlit Amber lights on my bar. Anyway I just wanted to comment on that bar. as far as that bar is concerned I was going to get it powder coated before it was installed and thought it could possibly last a year or two as is. It's been installed now for less than 5 months and at least 30% of the paint is missing, I joke you not, that much and then of course it's rusting, where the paint is missing. It looks horrible, it looks like some rusted out Iron Cross bumper LOL. Now where I am is a pretty harsh winter, yet it was in the fall when the bugs stuck to it and as soon as you power wash it chunks of the paint would come off. And this is only a 1200 psi pressure washer from 18 in away. For the price of that bar it is ridiculous I will be getting it Sand blasted and properly coated in the spring. For the price of that bar you'd think Randy Ellis designs would at least use a coat of tremclad spray paint LOL. Nice looking truck, nice looking lights. Just wanted a rant about that bar drives me crazy LOL
Anyway back to your video I liked that you did it on a budget! and I'm glad that it's working for you. I have mine connected to an s-pod bantam, where in the app in my phone while I'm driving I can control the power output to the lights. I can dim them turn two on turn two off, I also have lights in the rear bumper and ditch lights as well, that is the reason for the spod bantam. Also I have the bolts that mount to the bar welded to the nuts for Extra protection against theft. It won't stop a very determined thief, yet it certainly will slow them down! And me when I need to take them off in the spring to get the bar of powder coated! All it takes is a little tack weld and a longer Bolt and you've got yourself some pretty good security, just an idea.

The good thing about that bar is that just like in your video you can aim them so that if you have spots or driving lights it can cover a wide pattern. At 85 mph I have the spots aimed the same as my brights, there is no point in me turning on my brights anymore as just with two of the 6-in lights they are brighter and I cannot overdrive them, the outer two lights are slightly aimed out and just like in your video cover a wide range. And that's just the bar not including my ditch lights. Great job again on a budget!

When running on the voswitch is the 30 amp fuse good to run it. I plan on getting a pair to maybe run as ditch lights or have on my front bar.
You need to match the fuse to whatever you’re installing. 30A fuse for ditch lights is too much. Look at the draw, then match your fuse accordingly. Most likely 10A fuse that
@@socalexpeditions ok I have a voswitch also and I can drop the fuse down to a 10-15 amp if 30 is too much for it.
Once I order some I'll test them before installing them to see how much amperage it draws.

I did a DIY wire harness, made it myself out of 14 gauge to 12 gauge wire. I'd recommend finding someone near you comfortable with wiring if you don't know yourself! You could also use pre-wired setups from Nilight on Amazon and run them in pairs.

Great video , but u get what u lay for, there are lights for $20 ,and lights for $200. There is a deason for that. On my jeep I have the $20 ebay specials, but for my bronco im going to go higher end with a heretic, expensive, but a lifetime gaurantee. Cant wait to see the camper

They are all the same light. I would recommend buying the ones I linked in my Ram 2500 walk-around video. I have a new truck now, but I did sell my truck with the 4 bumper lights. They rock.

I'd love to get baja lights. But the Chinese knock off works and is about 30 times cheaper. Can't justify the added cost for baja's overhead unfortunately

Running the lights like you do do you need a control switch.
It makes it easier. You’ll need some sort of switch guarded with a fuse

Why do they look green in the video? What color is the output in real life?
Green/Yellow/Orange. Im colorblind with those colors so it seems like a general mix of those. Not as green as it looks on camera, that's the iPhone white balance trying to compensate.
What paint did you use for brackets?

Quick question how were you able to get the drl mode I’ve tried everything and they won’t switch between modes thank you.
You need a 3 way switch or some kind of switch panel. Are you hooking up the orange and red together or separate?
I bought a 3 way switch and wired everything together red to red and yellow to yellow and when I try switch the mode it just stays on full led mode

I was trying to find the right pins for the cables, but I don’t think I know the right size lol I went ahead and bought a harness and will get it all squared away
