Their enjoyment is that much more incredible, considering how technically difficult what they are playing is. When I was in high school in the 80s, this song was the measuring stick for drummers, if you could play this, you had street creds.
@reactionsaccount3955 when they wrote this it was incredibly difficult for them to record it in one take. Bybthis point... they just make it look like no bid deal. They are laughing and joking while playing.
This *may* be my favorite performance of LVS. The silly polka intro, the boys having so much fun with it, Alex pouring his soul into that beautiful solo, that little interplay between Neil and Geddy… love the whole thing. 😂
Thay solo by Alex is nuts. So beautiful and soulful. The dynamics he puts in, from note to note is amazing. He is such a good player. Understands the technique as well as the emotion behind it.
The thing I loved about Rush is that they took their craft very seriously but had such a great time on stage. Who else would think of starting one of their classic tracks with a steam carousel sound. Often see them laughing and joking on stage and in clips of them in the studio. As a musician of over 50 years I know that this is what creates the magic that some bands lack. ✌️♥️🇬🇧
It’s one thing to put something like this together in the studio, but to pull it off consistently live, just the three of them - amazing. And they still had fun doing it together after all those years.
The Rio version is hilarious because of Alex just being ridiculous intentionally playing badly, singing, introducing the back up band, etc. He gets Neil to actually smile and laugh.
This was the first of two encores after a three hour concert the song they chose to end the evening Working Man is maybe their best live video and features an insane solo by Alex.
Ha :) I was thinking - Wow they really like Rush so much that they are playing angelic background music just to discuss the song! Which I would be totally cool with, they are just so good. Check Working Man from the same show, it'll blow your mind. Alex Lifeson is guitar (and foot pedals too) btw
I LOVED THAT! It was like the worship choir for the Holy Triumvirate. And it built to a crescendo as you talked about how Geddy Lee plays, bass, keyboards, vocals and pedals When Alanna took in the fact that this was the Holy Triumvirate, She rolled back and the heavenly choir of angels was singing Ahhhhh BEST REACTION VIDEO EVER!
First time I saw Rush was Tour of the Hemispheres, in a civic ice rink, maybe 800 people maybe 1200 on the outside. Awesome then, awesome here, awesome always, the boys rocked.
They ended this Cleveland show like a boss playing arguably their hardest song in La Villa then following it up with that reggae version of Working Man. Pretty sure no one went home that night thinking they didn't get their money's worth, oh ya, and they were all 58-59 at the time.
Geddy's hi note bass flamenco playing on this is amazing and who plays "up" on a transitional fill and ties it in perfectly? oh that is right Neil "The Professor" Peart that is who. (3 transition 3:37-9 min mark) great song and great reaction. keep it up
@enterthecronic Hello from Sweden! Great band/song , great reaction ! I´d love to see you react to another trio from Canada , my favorite band Triumph , since back in the 80ś. Pls check out , Triumph-Magic Power , US Festival 83 , or any other song with them. The video quality was not that good back in the days , but it's worth watching ! Ha det bra ! ;)
Never seen this performance, I tend to listen to the albums rather than seek out videos for Rush. Great stuff! As for Canadian bands, my second-favourite would be folk rockers Spirit of the West (and those are the only two I've seen live), though I've recently been exploring the Dreadnoughts. I'm interested to see what else is on the list...
That’s fair enough! It was a Patreon request though, so we used the link they paid for :) you can check out our Patreon if you want your own version of a song reacted to? Patreon.com/enterthecronic
@@enterthecronic Rush is my favorite all time band & has been since 1979, so I love all versions, but I prefer the other one. I loved y'all's reaction!
What’s funny is now that I know you guys won’t mind background music while we chat, it only helps in the long run! Though that was a rookie mistake, it helped lol
I am a rookie :) I have lots to learn, so nothing to be sorry about! It was a rookie move lol but, I am human and I don’t try to hide from my mistakes. Thanks for the comment.
I hate this version I don't like the circus polka sound they do at the beginning it's cheap and degrades the song I like how it's done on the album and the old live version from the 70s that is the best version of all!!!!

Legendary Trio!!
That NEVER gets old! What a great song! No matter how many times I saw them do that in concert, it was always welcome.
I love this version, thanks for the reaction
Your welcome!

Thank you!!
A Masterpiece!!! A lot of respect and appreciation 😍 for this band!
It’s pretty crazy they can even play this epic, complex, masterpiece live. It’s such a difficult song. This was Alex Lifeson’s (guitarist) brainchild.
Appreciate you Kent!!
Yeah RUSH RUSH AND MORE RUSH
We need to!!
Whether or not you're a RUSH fan, there's no denying they kill it live and have so much fun while doing it!

Omg thank you so much for the praise and support! Alanna is the best!!

LOL The angles singing fit your reaction to Rush. XD
This blooper we had definitely made me think to add music or something when we are talking :)
Just ANOTHER reason why RUSH is the greatest rock band of all time...
Working Man and Natural Science from same concert.
Alanna's expression in the first guitar solo is awesome. Pure disbelief.
She LOVED IT!
Need to do Working man live in Cleveland see how three guys in their 50s end a three hour show fire 🔥 fire 🔥 fire 🔥

He is unreal!! Thank you so much!
I was at this show for free. Center stage.
La Vee Ah Stran GEE Ah Toe, never forget The Professor.
The chior while you were haeping praise on them. That was quite a picture lol.
We have to add more effects like that!! Maybe next time….on purpose though!!
@@enterthecronic A happy accdent

A other great Canadian band is Motion Device.
I was there. Floor on Geddy's side. I love that I can watch this and see it all again.
I am glad you enjoyed your time with us!!

Neil's last name is pronounced like "P-EERt". Don't worry, us Rush fanatics are just as nice as the band members so no harm done lol.
Thank you!!
The best version is Exit Stage Left. This one is them being goofy & having fun.

No problem!! Suggestion?
Synchronicity is Strong...... The video I watched Right Before this, was "Romanticide" by Nightwish, and there you go playing it as an Intro!!!!
Oh wow, that must of felt amazing!!
Neil wrote 99 % of the lyrics
