A survey in Austria a year ago asked the following two questions:
Question: “If Austria were to be attacked (By Russia for e.g.), would you defend YOUR country?”
Answer: “17% said they would defend their country in case of war!!!”
    17%!!!!!!!!
Question: “In case of war (in this case an attack and occupation ofAustria) would you want your allies or other nations to come to your aid?”
Answer: “87% demanded to be defended against an aggression!!”
    How sad is Europe!!!
But I ask: why do Europeans not understand what is happening?
Is that just a product of years of intellectual and reality neglect??
    I really want to understand.

its becouse Europe or Austria would never be attacked by Russia if it werent for the Us. Austria, Germany and Eu in general had good bussines with Russia and no cause for concern. If its war its Us war so they should do the fighting, not the ukrainians, austrian, romanian etc.

I agree that cutting military spending now would be even worse for the Russian economy in the short term, but I wonder how long economic growth based on blowing up limited inheritance can last and what happens when any input becomes largely constrained.

Isn’t it a no brainer that the US has the industrial capacity and could increase its production assuming multiple shifts and contracts paid for by European countries, pending Europe developing its own capacity. Doesn’t that go a long way to address US frustration with shouldering too high a share of the burden while increasing the materiel available to Ukraine?

The discussion failed because it is limited to war, not the real economic effects in Russia. It is losing foreign sales of weapons, which have been shown they being destroyed in Ukraine. Ukraine's attacks on Russia refineries has hurt. Sanctions are also having economic effects.

When the west/NATO and all their war analysts ( propagandists) say that Russia is weak, Russia is not as strong as the west or the world seems to believe. Most people in the global South don't agree to western narrative. Suppose you flip the situation, which country in Europe can fight on its own or with little help like Russia is receiving from 2 or 1 friends can fight the way Russia is fighting? Do the west understand the magnitude of help they are giving Ukraine despite the fact that Russia is still pushing ahead regardless. 50 nations helping Ukraine big time and this kind of help is like almost or 80% participating in actual war. The West's military stocks are almost empty, they can barely defend themselves if war broke out. They have given Ukraine almost everything, except for Germany long range, which cannot change anything, if there is anything left which the west hasn't given Ukraine, its less than 5%.. Russia is very very strong, why ? Its because of the huge help, money, satellite technology military, equipments, creating secret private military groups and equipping them with all kinds of equipments they ask for or they need. Special forces and special military experts from the west are all in Ukraine, most of them killed by Russian soldiers. The west can't admit that Russia is much stronger than they are. The prime purpose of the assistance from the west is to push Russia out of Ukraine to 1991 boundaries, have they achieved it? So who has failed? Between the west and Russia? Even the USA can not fight a small country if that country is receiving the kind of help Ukraine is receiving. Ukraine is already defeat, its only sustained by western help and propaganda.

You're delusional mate. You're saying the west has committed to the war to the degree of 80-100%.
But actually, the US has contributed what 2%? 6%? Of its ANNUAL military budget. In what way is that "80-100%"?
I think the west should actually commit quite a bit more than we are currently but you're spouting complete lies. I also think if we committed more resources, maybe people like you yapping nonsense anywhere and everywhere on the internet would find themselves drafted and attempting to take back kursk or belgorod. It'd be nice to not have to listen to his obvious crap.

Unconditional surrender is the only practical solution for Ukraine at this point. Hitler's Germany also refused to admit defeat until Hitler killed himself, then Keitel signed unconditional surrender. Post war settlement is Russia's business.
