I am quite surprised why did you open the whole rim & tier, all you needed was to stand your bike on a
Center stand & then just would have removed the tire & removed the tube, & get it repaired on the spot, I own Himalayan I get my Himalayan repaired without removing its whole wheel it saves us lots of time & hassle.

Tbh I don’t have any hands on repairing punctures so I always prefer to get it to a mechanic but sadly that mechanic was not confident ☹️
