    hi there, just a note for everyone incase you missed it at 6:28, the BNF says Soluble insulin can be mixed with intermediate and long-acting insulins (except insulin detemir, insulin glargine, and insulin degludec)

    Hi, your videos are amazing! Taking my exam on the 2nd of November and you've helped pick out so many things I missed out on and you're soo good at explaining things. The only negative is that it took so long to find you! Maybe put more emphasis on key words like pre-reg, exam, revision, pharmacist, gphc etc...😊 ❤

    Thank you for your video. about glibenclamide, long acting sulfonylurea , you said these are recommended in elderly patients . but actually these should be avoided in elderly patients.

    One interesting point to mention 11:40 SGLT2 inhibitors, theres is a common s/e of having UTI when taking these two medication. But all in all amazing videos really appreciate it! :D

    Hii, just a heads up, glibenclamide isn't suitable for pregnant patients anymore since they are found to cross the neonatal barrier. Instead, insulin is recommended after the first trimester

    according to the bnf the cortisol aka hydrocortisone has equal levels of gluco and mineral corticoid effects. in the start section it says it has high glucocorticoid activity, and then in another section it states it has high mineral corticoid effects

    Thanks a lot for your videos , they have been really helpful. Just to clarify @4.42 you said the main side effect of insulin is hypokalaemia but I guess you meant hypoglycaemia, right?

    • @SureenaSpeaks
      @SureenaSpeaks  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Atinuke O it can cause hypoglycaemia but one of the other main side effects is hypokalaemia :)
