1/18 21st Century Toys 'M998 Humvee (Soft Top) Cargo / Troop Carrier

- This is the 21st Century Toys 1/18 scale M998 Humvee (Soft Top) Cargo / Troop Carrier which was produced in 2003. The model is made of plastic with rubber tyres and comes with a rare canvas roof.
This is an exceptional vehicle which is one of a kind due to its competitors not producing anything similar. The Humvee has opening features which includes four opening doors and an rear tail gate. The canvas roof can be removed via unclipping the eyelets from the black pegs scattered around the roll cage of the Humvee. The canvas has a clear plastic rear window as found on rear Humvees and can be folded away for storage.
The wheels can rotate but as normally found on these vehicles the wheels are not steerable. The Humvee has a great paint job with the correct buff colour used. It also has nice weathering on the main body of the vehicle and great mud splatter effect to the bottom of the chassis. Practically no detail is spared, from the glazing of the doors and windshield to the exhaust and fuel tank on the belly of this Humvee.

They need to make vehicles that are 1/12 scale you should be able to fit a 6 or 7 inch figure in it this is mostly what every body is collecting now in 1/12 scale
I got a handful of 7 inch figures, mainly Neca Terminator/Arnie's, Sarah Connor, Exo Skeleton, Commando, predator, Alien, Rambo's, Robocop"s and ED209

Hi Rob, nice to hear from you. I would love too my friend but am always busy with work and producing customs so time is of a premium and i am still recovering from a chest infection so was a bit out of touch with the reviews. I will try harder this year to get 2 out a month 😉

I had the M1025 command vehicle from 21st century. For some reason it would fall apart in my hands. Parts would break off at the slightest touch. I’m hoping I’ll have better luck with the Soft Top. Great review!
I’m also quite intrigued by that helicopter in the background. By the looks of it, it’s a custom World Peacekeepers Combat Helicopter modified into the AH-6I. Any telling how it was made? I’m interested in *locally producing* it for my GI Joe verse.
Funny you should mention about the falling apart from your hamds! To be honest, I had a similar scenario with this one. The drivers door bracket/hinge fell off on me and l had to glue it back, then l found gluing it back prevented the hinge from working freely, which was strange as l used minimal glue!
Ah yes, the AH-6i Attack Helicopter is a thing of beauty and I'm proud to have her in my collection.
She was strategically placed in the back to intrigue and distract LOL😂
You are quite right she is based on the PTE Combat Helicopter, commomly know as a Littlebird. As for how she was made is another story LOL and that will be divulged in an up coming review as i believe she deserves her own slot in the hall of fame, so keep your eyes out for it .... soon!

Hello Nasha! Congrats for your videos, its been inspiring for collecting these pieces, and was wondering what was the rubber net brand or where can I get it, also ask you whether you have a Flak 88mm gun for review
Hi Clueles, thanks for the comment on the videos and knowing that you are able to find simular is rewarding. The net was purchased with the item but it looks like a chap mei net to me which i am sure you will be able to find. As for the Flak 88mm gun, its nice but i don't have one at the moment. I would however suggest that you buy a 21st Century Toy one as the Merit International one is rather brittle, this is why i will take my chances and wait for one. I do have the Howitzer Artillary Gun from World Peacekeepers which i will try and get around to reviewing.
Nasha 1 so, you didnt buy this item new? Because I just got mine yesterday and thought this net was included in the original vehicle’s accesories and yeah I will definitely wait for the 21st c flak
@@nomaspasabaporaqui , sorry no i didn't get this new. Unfortunately we don't see many 21st Century Toy items sold in U.K. and have to import them from U.S. I try my best to buy complete but it is not always possible 😔. Enjoy your new purchase😉👍

If its boxed than definitely go for it. These are hard to come by but if you are lucky and persistent then you may be able to get it cheaper but that depends if your lucky enough 🤞

This really sucks cant find toys like this in stores for your kids anymore it's stupid whered all the toy companies that made these go.
I agree they stop making a lot of fun stuff smart phones , gaming systems, internet took over thats what all the kids are doing now they would rather get on social they dont even go outside like we did when we were kids
The company over extended themselves financially. Also because of the US spending so much time in the same war, it fell out of style for a long time. People got tired of being reminded I guess. I don't know.
