If I wear a goat's horn, sacrifice an animal and call on the name of Sango, does that mean that I can curse someone? No. It only means that an observer (like you) will see me enacting a ritual. The only way to know that my ritual is effective is if I tell you (before it happens) when, where and how the curse will occur - and I need to replicate the effect.
