    I know how this window assembly is, I replaced both on my 1966 C10 , they can be a pain, main thing is, take your time, be patient, you learn as you go, on each door, mine turned out real good, thanks for sharing, you explained everything very well, good luck with your Truck.

    Pro tip: When installing the stop bumper at the bottom, apply a little Sil-Glyde on the tip, and use a suitable (approx 1/4") rod or similar to press on the center of the bumper where the indention is while reaching under to guide the tip through the hole. This puts pressure in the center of the nipple rather than at the flange.

    Who did you get the new parts from?

    Question, did the new felt strips go in without any modifications? The plastic studs on the strips looks larger than the holes, did they go in easily? Nice truck

    Thanks for posting this. I have a broken drivers side window in a 1961 to replace - probably similar construction. Where did you get the "kluge" head bits? And what is the proper spelling for "kluge head "? Thanks.

      I got the stainless replacements with hex heads at Home Depot. Did not use the clutch heads as mine was not a restoration.

    Something rattles inside my driver's side door when I close it, have no idea what it is, maybe 🤔 needs new rubber bumper?

    Where did you order your parts from?

    • @edshandymantips4862
      @edshandymantips4862  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ordered from eBay
      www.ebay.com/itm/1955-1956-1957-1958-1959-CHEVROLET-GMC-TRUCK-DELUXE-WINDOW-FELT-CHANNEL-KIT-/303535508679?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
      Also had another set of anti rattle felt pads from classicindustries.com PN CR1098. I recall one set was far superior to the other but cannot remember now which one. By superior I mean the tabs fit into the door holes much, much, better.

    Well I'm commenting again because I am looking for some kind of clue to help with the fkg windbelts. but again. You did not even begin to show anything about that other than remove the rubber block. My trucks window won't go down far enough still!. And I have those same cheap ass Brothers windbelts made by Holley, that I think are absolute JUNK, to try and squeeze in. And not getting much help from the internet in general. But absolutely zip from you. Poop. 2 thumbs down. I actually think I'm going to cut the dammed things even with the glass track instead of trying to mess with stuffing them behind it. Anybody out there got any better way of doing this please chime in!
