I would love if you had shown us the result! I still prefer doing the old school way! I really thing by what I’ve seen that it’s still better quality wise! In some years I think when the scanner gets better imagery it will be super! The only think that makes me consider buying this for my office is that I’m tired of the dental technicians not doing what I ask them to do and giving me a hard time because they think they know something that I don’t
My crown took only about an hour . Did not have to go back for a permanent crown. It matches my teeth perfectly . It is so beautiful . Wish all my teeth looked like that .
Hi good day, congrats for your excellent work done Please could you share me your contact that build the dental furniture, due Im interested in the black plastic holders for the dental hand piece Thank you
Why are dentists not offering this nearly as much? I’ve been very happy in the past with 2 cerecs, one lasting many years, it might be 12-15 years. I read that it may be because dentists don’t want to do the amount of direct labor but rather have an assistant do the leg work or a lab. Is this possibly true? Next is it a profitability issue. That implants or bridges are more profitable. My cerec fell out but has been set back in. I don’t know how long it will last based on the dentist’s comments. This new dentist will only do implant or bridge. My old dentist whom I was so please with for 20 years has retired and I trusted him 100%. Now I’m looking at possibly thousands of dollars. What’s the deal?
It sounds like there may have been decay or fracture/other damage to your tooth (the remaining structure that was/is under your crown). If your remaining tooth structure is no longer strong enough to support a crown, then your dentist would recommend the alternatives, which are a bridge or an implant.
@@MidtownDentalCA thank you for responding and I only meant I'm not a dentist I only meant I hated my crown I got one last week and I'm most disappointed I'm not a dentist and I don't own the cerec
@@MidtownDentalCA Sherry! Due to the misalignment of the tooth, the software configured the biting surface to be aligned to the biting surface of the adjacent teeth, versus how the tooth was initially, which was with the biting grooves on the tooth on the palatal side (where you are now feeling the round portion). While there are pros and cons to both situations, I think the change in the position of the tooth anatomy is what doesn’t feel natural to you. If you would like us to change it, we are happy to get you back in and put the anatomy back on the palatal surface. Let me know how you adjust over the next few days. I am committed to your thorough satisfaction This was the reply when I told them, such disappointment. I don't understand. Should I leave it alone? Had a new crown done this past Monday. Same procedure. Very impressed with the new technology.
Is the price higher or lower because of the technology, what did your insurance plan say about this crown
I do not have dental insurance. I think it was about $300.00 USA MONEY. I live in the Chicago suburbs.
A very informative video on CEREC. Thank you for posting this.

It all depends on the extent of the fracture. See your dentist and they can help you out!!

Are you a dentist ?
@@gailcaplan7015 yes I sure am!
Learn something new everyday.
If one needs a partial crown, can a CEREC machine be of use?
Absolutely, I'm able to be more conservative with this technology
just came back for a dentist and they use the same machine. got there at 8am and was out at 11am with a crown
And did the insurance plan cover half this procedure with the new technology.
How long is the milling time?
I believe 5 to 10 min then 20 to bake it
Total price of machinary ?
100K $
Fantastic video!! Doc, do you still use the same Cerec unit?. If so I have blocks for you, send me a message.
👍
Just had one done today but I had no glasses on so I couldn't see the process. I was very impressed

Здравствуйте очень грамотный современы подход .
I hate my cerec😢
This saddens me. Because I couldn’t practice without mine! In my experience this may be because you haven’t received proper training.

Why don't you want show us that "natural looking color"? Yellow?
I’m sorry what’s the question? Shade and translucency is selected and specific characteristics are painted on. It’s a very artistic process.

I bet you can't do a bunch of cavities in one day😂
I can actually! We routinely complete multiple units.
