    Thanks Michael. That is dead set the best Astro video I have seen. It is brilliant being able to watch you speak and then pan around like I was standing beside you but checking out the sunset. You’re a genius, well done.

      I'm hoping to do an astro VR with the normal VR maybe once a month. There is a very substantial amount of work with the astro VR while it's just the one night - the post processing takes a very long time to "get right". While I can't do an aurora all the time ;) - the VR plans coming up are very substantial. There is a lot of theoretical stuff that I'm thinking if this works ...

    Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Like I’m there with you. Great clear view of all the events that night. Isn’t nature so spectacular!
    I was climbing out of a van onto grass and between gumtrees when the 10pm AWST peak hit. Lovely to see the full impact. Thanks again Michael!

      was an absolutely stellar night - was interesting to see the residual effects throughout the night as the situation changed

    Caught me off guard hearing my name! Lake Leschenaultia was hectic busy, particularly trying to leave 😂 worth it though!
    Such spectacular footage you caught. Absolutely mind blowing and the intro was interesting as well.

    Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see the Milky Way and Aurora. Michael, do you or can you organise some kind of tour for that?

    What is the 'very substantial amount of work' in the PP that you need to do? I want to do something similar but I hate PP :E
    What equipment are you using btw?

    • @michaelgoh2884
      @michaelgoh2884  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      currently it's 4 cameras with fish eye lenses setup in an array to cover up and and triangle of 3. It uses a synchronised intervelometer. With battery packs, dew heaters and ... more. The PP is .... the main part - there is a lot that really the serious astrophotog is probably more accustomed to - having to do with denoising and de-vignetting and then stitching the whole thing into a panorama that is then batched. Also there maybe some conversions for changing of light situation. Then it's putting it together as a movie timelapse. There's a lot more to it than that - and the next few innovations are ... substantially more involved. The thing is that you need to also check each stage just in case to identify faults that might not be readily noticeable in first runs. Even with a serious editing computer - this is at least a few days and more likely a few weeks to process each of these.
