I don't understand why people hate her. I get if you don't like the music but to hate.. Come on... Some people gotta understand not everyone has the same taste but when there's clearly talent, disrespecting just makes you look like a fool
I love how you really try to understand artistic creativity because people see black, wings and fire and just write her off as evil or demonic without actually try to understand the concepts
I don't know why people don't notice this, but when shes falling shes all white even her wings and drops into a puddle of black oil and I assume its oil because it catches on fire. The black oil turned her to what looks like an Angel that's fallen from heaven to hell. I guess the Angel can represent earth and humanity in a way and the black oil being the evolution of humanity into fossil fuels and different pollutants.
Because they're too shallow, egocentric and stupid to realise that the song's not even about them. It's about how humanity is wrecking our planet, and it uses religious imagery to depict that. The message is actually compatible with Christianity, which tells us that we're custodians of God's earth and should look after it. Those people need their heads checked
rly good lyrics and artistic video... i'm kind of a bigger fan of her so ife heard the song a lot of times thinking bout the lyrics now and every line makes more and more sense every time, especially with the video now. a lot of ppl missed the true meaning of this song, i think that's also why there is this late music video now, it clarifies it but still on an artistic lvl... so well done, truly a masterpiece and artistically my favorite thing billie has done so far! love to you if you're the best, love your open minded/ honest reactions
Congrats man, I watched tons of reaction videos of this song and you're the only one who understands the meaning of that song. I kind of guessed it before reading the comments of people who confirmed it had something to do with climate change. I heard the angel falling from the sky in an oil spill, then oil burns the forest around her and she is referring to sea rising, humans asking for help when they poisoned their own environment. Why do they deserve to be saved? With a bunch of biblical references used specifically to say that we created hell on Earth and there's nothing to save because everything is burned. I understand why religious people could hate her, but this message can also resonate in a biblical way too. Lucifer is winning because we said no to heaven, we destroyed our soul. There's nothing satanic there because Lucifer means that we're doomed, not that it's a good thing.
