What’s up, blind guy here… To me, it sounds like he’s going to the C shaped D in the chorus as opposed to the standard D chord Shape that’s in the verse. Am I mistaken?

Sometimes Morgan does, but I think Ernest stays on your typical D Major for most of the song.
