Also worth mentioning, if you stop the car while regen occurs, the oil will be contaminated with fuel. And that's pretty bad for the viscosity.

I have a Kia Xceed 1.6 GTI Turbo and the DPF light came on whilst on the way home from work so i veered off and hit the motorway and drove at a constant 70mph for 25 minutes and the warning light switched off again. A week later and it hasnt returned. I hope this info helps someone

What happens if the regen button is not turning on for me to do regen while driving. When I switch on the ignition, the light comes on, but when I power up the engine, the light goes out. Do you know what could be the cause?
