  • Step-by-step wedding makeup tutorial for the mature gal OR how to direct your hired makeup artist to do your mature face. I'm not only a 25 year PRO MUA but I'm also a woman of 53 so this is how I would wear it for a wedding. Get a pen and pad or screenshot the products used because I won't have links for this episode. Check back next week for PART 2- primer, foundation, concealer, powder, contour, bronzer, blush, lips AND highlighter! Trust me.... Part 2 is even more important!!!

    Younger artists tell us not to lift the eye when applying liner and there’s no way you can get it right by just looking straight ahead when you’re over 50. Finally someone who knows all women

    Thrilled to have found you, Michelle! I have 4 months to practice your make-up techniques for my daughter's wedding. I feel like the make-up trends are super-uber-glam and cater to younger people. That style looks great on them but seems cakey and rigid on the mature face. You are lovely, compassionate and understand beauty for us mature people. You just gained an enthusiastic subscriber, THANK-YOU!

    Thank you SO MUCH for your videos, Michelle! My daughter's wedding will be in May, so I will have time to purchase these products and practice getting this look right. I always struggle with trying to get my makeup right. Your tips on how to work with more mature skin (I'm 47) are so incredibly helpful! I actually found you through TikTok when I searched for Mother of the Bride makeup tutorials. I raced over here to watch this video, and just finished part 2 as well. I'll be spending time on your channel watching all of your videos. I did subscribe and clicked that bell too! I am so grateful you are sharing your experience and tips/tricks with us!

    I'm so glad I found this video. I'm 61 and have 2 son's weddings coming up this fall. I went to a make up trial and the artist didn't really want to listen to me. I told her that I don't wear much makeup, I use Bare Minerals foundation for my daily routine so when she did my skin it felt so thick (moisturizer, liquid foundation that I feel was too beige for my cool toned skin, and then airbrushed foundation, bronzer, blush) it was a mask. I could only leave it on for 6 hours then washed it off. I also wanted to show her a picture of how I wanted my makeup and she didn't want to see it. She said I know what I want to do. Well, $95 later and I didn't really like what she did.

    • @maturemakeupmasterclass
      @maturemakeupmasterclass  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Whether you use an artist or do your own, now you know what to ask and not ask for! At the very least, even if you do your own makeup, I've popped lashes on people for $25 if they prefer their own makeup. I always have lots of lashes if people just want lashes.

    This has been very helpful. My son is getting married in Los Angeles on April 23rd. I'm 67 but fortunate to have good skin, just a few wrinkles under the eyes and marionette lines. I did a make up test last week with a very young make up artist and ended up looking like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. I kept telling her NO thick foundation, no powder under the eyes but this fell on deal ears. Absolutely horrific. With the help of your tutorials I am going to do my own make up on the day....where are you based btw?

    Hi, I love your channel. I've spent the last two weeks doing a deep dive into all you great 50+ beauty channels, trying EVERYTHING under the sun. No matter how moisturized, serumed, prepped, blended, etc., everything I try still looks cakey and worse than NO MAKEUP! I've been trying every drugstore product under the sun: Loreal and Covergirl/Olay foundations, Milani bronzers and blushes, Pixie peach (and Tarte) color correction, elf, hydrating, Maybelline FiT, No7, and several other concealers, with and without primer, using new Real Techniques brushes, etc... I have under-eye circles, crepey lids, vertical lip lines, and visible pores. I'm following all the guidelines and still it looks terrible! I'm doing all of this to prepare for my son's wedding (remote area, so no professional help), and I'm at a loss. What else to try???
