    Chris, thank you very much for everything. I don't miss any of these videos but I can't plug your live ones in unfortunately. I am loving my 808D controller very much and it wouldn't happen if you didn't help me with it.

      Thank you Shem for the kind words. Its those kinds of responses that keep me developing more content.

    is there anyway to change the down feed rate in the spigot cycle. there is a lot of wasted time when using the spigot cycle since the down feed rate is the same as the cutting feed rate. i would like to rapid down to my depth of cut

      To my best of knowledge you can not do that.

    Hi all. New to Siemens but loving it so far. How do I add a pause in the program so I could turn part over etc. Instead of having two programs? Also add a msg telling operators instructions?

      As stated below - you can program a simple M0, or optional stop with M01.
      The message command is straight forward:
      MSG ("Example") --> creates the message
      MSG() --> cancels the active message

    Hi therem great video! I tried using an additive rotation and offset transformation the island, just to make things different...undergraphic video it shows the offset and rotated contour, but when simulation, it just moves it back to the original position and ignores the transformation commands....is there a way to fix this? Doing the same thing with a spigot provides the expected results. just not a contour mill

      Thanks for the feedback! It is possible that this is a bug during simulation. If you have the ability to do simultaneous recording while running the program in Auto, I would check that simulation as well. Hope that helps!

    Hello! Is there cycle to mill side groove inside hole or rectangular hole with disc side mill?

    • @MrCNC
      @MrCNC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would most likely draw a contour shape and then drive the toolpath on that contour. Hope that helps!

    Hi, Just wondering what you would suggest is the best way to program an ellipse shape for path milling etc.?

    • @MrCNC
      @MrCNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can program an ellipse in G-code with our Polynomial interpolation (POLY, POLYPATH, PO, PL) function. I have never done it myself but if you reference our job planning manual it will talk about it. support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109481532/sinumerik-840d-sl-828d-job-planning?lc=en-ww

    In my Siemens 828D HMC 'SHOPMILL' Programming option is not shown. Only G code programming is shown. When I open a new programme page no shopmill is not shown. Please tell me the reason.

      Hello Atanu, Shopmill is an option and would need to be activated on your machine. If you call your local Siemens office they would be able to give you a quote for the option.

      As long as you are running the Operate HMI version of the Sinumerik 840D it should work fine. If you are running an older version of our HMI it may be different.
