Reminds me of my mother Evelyn A. Warren. My Father loved my mother more than air. They raised 6 children and we felt the love thank you for bringing back their love and for the greatest generation that's ever lived. I pray for our country continuely. I pray for people to remember who we are and where we came from. God Speed
Well that is very sweet of you you may for must understand what I meant because they really were the best generation ever and I do miss my parents terribly but they're always with me thank you very much for your beautiful words I'll hold them in my heart Godspeed
My mother sang this song when doing chores around the house. I knew who she was singing it to.. All eight of us kids(4 and 4 ).knew. We never doubted. Dad was away working at the coal mine. 61years of marriage.. She buried him on their anniversary.. My wife and I celebrated 61st last June. Happy. Ce
My great grandma was born in 1920, today is her 104th birthday. She was telling me how she and my great grandfather would sing this song to eachother in the 1940's and sang a part of it for me. I am so lucky to know her.
My mother and father also sang that song in harmony to each other when he came back from serving in the U.S. Army wounded in Germany during W.W.ll. l hope to see them both (and my sister) when I go to Heaven to be with the Lord Jesus.
I love you truly, truly dear, Life with it's sorrow, life with it's tear, Fades into dreams when I feel you are near, For I love you truly, Truly dear! Ah, love 'tis something, to feel your kind hand, Ah yes, 'tis something, by your side to stand, Gone is the sorrow, gone doubt and fear, For you love me truly, Truly dear!
I have always had love for you with your beautiful voice and in my younger years 💖 I have gotten to my older age. I will turn 84 in August 9, 1938 born. If you could sing one of your beautiful song's I sang in school in years. I would so appreciate that. I cannot.remember which one I sang as I had surgery a few years ago and I have been suffering. from a bruised brain. Thank you for hearing what I must say. God has been good to me in many ways and I do believe he helped you in many ways ☺️as well. Thanks for bringing that up. We must believe in Lord Jesus Christ. Our savior. Who gave us our voices 💞 Gods blessing on you as promised
Mother's maiden name was Trulli. I played it as my first dance with my new bride at our wedding 40 years ago and will have it as our first dance coming up at our Anniversary Party. My father always sang it around the house to her .
Beautiful song. The song (not sung by Bing) was used in the classic "It's a wonderful life." I prefer the re-recording as I prefer the re-recordings that Bing did in general. His voice was lower, phrasing better, the orchestrations were better - in short that's the Bing I think of. Just like Sinatra's voice didn't truly come into full form until the Capitol recordings. Plus recording quality by the 1940s and 50s had improved markedly as tape came around.
My Mother n Fathers song. They had 5 children. Dad died 1999@ this time Mom is still alive. They married and divorced 2ce and even though they finally went their own ways they. Always loved eCh. Other.
This was sung for our wedding in 1966; brings back many memories.
This was sang at my grandmother's wedding in 1939♡ I feel her here when I listen.❤
That is special!
