It will break dependency. People need to pull funds together and loan each other money because banks won’t do it. I am thoroughly impressed by solutions working on the continent like the micro finance industry in Kenya. It can be done. We need to create solutions to some of our problems. Let’s start with the remote fertile areas, buying land that’s relatively cheap, plant trees in the meantime.
I did some training in pig farming and grew up farming. Requires dedication. Been in the U.S near the Amish and seen how they run their farms and citrus farms in Florida. Highly mechanized. In my Masters program I did a paper on John Deere, amazing technology out there but requires a lot of money. But we can start small- green house, plant avocados and export etc I wish people like him can have conferences and charge people and share this information. Farmers Weekly is a great resource to learn farming trends and information
