I don't. I love him the same, but knowing he doesn't really like the books that he is part of bringing to life kind of hurts a little bit. I first fell in love with Alexander Gideon Lightwood when he finally admits to loving Magnus Bane. Then, when I read them all again, I fell deeper in love.
They aren't really bringing the books to life. It's just the characters and even then they're rewriting the characters to be less flawed. They were hardly there in the books as a couple, didn't talk through a whole book, just there in the background and had a toxic relationship. That is not what the show is bringing to life. I'm not shocked Matt isn't a fan.
@@falsegcd I don't think there is any official direct statements of him saying that he did not like the books (well, none that I can find), but it can be assumed that he is not a big fan of it. He only read the first book and he tends to argue with the logic of the books sometimes. I don't think he is a book lover/book worm in general, be does love the Dune audiobook and he actively promotes it
